Using Goggles for Good

Thu April 30, 2020

It is difficult not to feel helpless in these strange and confusing times, as our television screens are filled with unimaginable tragedy and heroism in equal measure.

Many of us our doing what we can to help out elderly and vulnerable neighbours and looking to see if there is more that we can do. So we thought we would let you know about this brilliant initiative that we have come across for a simple way to help our brave and dedicated Health and Social Care Workers: Goggles For Docs

Goggles For Docs is a volunteer run initiative which was set up during this national crisis to offer help to those on the frontline. Whilst the hope remains that our healthcare professionals will receive the adequate PPE they require, this operation could bridge that gap in the meantime by aiding with missing eye protection. Over 35,800 goggles have been donated worldwide so far and counting. The UK branch has just opened but already the donations are mounting.

Whether you were not able to trial your new pair of ski goggles this winter or you have some old ones lying around in the attic, if you can, dust them off and donate them!

The quickest and most efficient way to donate them is to post them to:

FAO: Martin Rigley,

Lindhurst Engineering Ltd.

Midlands Road

Sutton in Ashfield

NG17 5GS

Please spread the word and raise awareness to likeminded skiers or anyone else for that matter! Any type of goggles is better than nothing. If you aren’t able to help with this cause, rest assured there are plenty of other ways in which you can or alternative items you can send.

Stay home, stay safe, saves lives.
