Clearly we think we're great, why come to work otherwise. But what do our customers say? We know that web sites are littered with anonymous out of date testimonials that it’s difficult to trust, but we're displaying comments written by our current and recent guests live, here on our web site. We're laying it bare, warts and all, and with the name of the writer attached. It’s not easy to look at yourself objectively, so don’t listen to us, listen to our guests.

  • Morzine - Valdez

The skiing and chalet host were great. One - A perfect week of snow early on, sunny days for the rest of the week and lots of great skiing. Two - Guy was a super host. His meals were delicious and he was one of the most pleasant, kind and thoughtful hosts we've met. One day we had Rory, who was also amazing and so kind, a great cook and loverly person. We do think there are however four things that VIP could do differently and much better: 1) one of your hosts in Geneva airport upon arrival from a delayed flight was very stressed and her communication skills were really poor. Her stress in handling us as late passengers with lost luggage was felt acutely in abrupt phone calls and unreasonable requests. She raised her voice to us and made us feel we were a problem. The whole situation was handled really badly. 2) Two 2-hour ski lessons were booked. Unfortunately both times we found out that they had been booked in Les Gets, NOT Morzine. The ski instructor had to ski from Les Gets meaning in total we lost 40 mins of each 2-hour lesson. A total of 80 mins....well over £100 worth of lessons. This is just bad administration in the London office. 3) The honesty system for drinks is bizarre. We were allowed to drink as much wine as we wanted, but if we wanted a beer or a Coca-Cola (which we did), we had to pay for it. Honestly, we pay £000s for a holiday and then because we want beer, not wine, we have to pay extra. This does not make sense and takes the gloss off the holiday. 4) Recycling. It was disturbing to see the host putting bottles, plastics, paper and waste food all in the same 'black bag'. One day we went for a walk around town and passed two recycling areas. It wouldn't take much to show care for the environment. In summary, VIP offered a great chalet in a nice town with a superb host. BUT the honesty system, no regard for recycling, 80 mins of lost ski lessons due to poor admin and a rude host upon arrival at the airport, basically made VIP "average-good" rather than "great-outstanding".

From the minute we arrived everything was perfect. The chalet was outstanding, absolutely everything that we required for our stay and more! The food was superbly cooked by Frankie and Kate and was the best we have had on a ski holiday. The variety on the menu and the quality of cooking was excellent. Emma, Rachael and Grant were excellent at looking after us. We travelled as a large family - 17 of us in total including 8 children and nothing phased them, they were so patient with the little ones and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for our stay, we will be returning.

  • Great to be back on the slopes

Bear Lodge is super convenient. The ski hire is done from the boot room and in the morning you can just walk straight in there and outside direct to the piste or the ESF meeting point. ESF lessons organised via VIP for the children were in very small groups which was much better than the larger ESF groups you saw out on the slopes. The children need VIP ski bibs though to help the instructors recognise them and to help your publicity around Les Arcs! The family rooms work well, a few more towel hooks wouldn't go amiss but that is minor! Delicious food and friendly staff. Swimming pool area is really lovely and nice that you offered a quiet time for adults too. I think it would be a nicer atmosphere if the bar and restaurant were on the same floor (we loved Theodul in Lech!) as you would probably sell more drinks and it would add to a more convivial atmosphere pre/post dinner - perhaps you could offer the opportunity to have the cheese course downstairs in the bar where you can relax on the sofa? It was just fab to get back out to the snow though and for us ski in ski out really made the difference when coming back to meet children from their lessons or the Bear's playroom. Lovely activities within 1950 as well and an easy ski to/from the Folie Douce and to the La Plagne lift despite being the other side of the resort.

After a bit of confusion over the transfers to the resort (oddly caused by the transfer staff being convinced we were on a non-existent flight) it was great to get back to Avoriaz. This is definitely the best base for skiing in the area. Massive thanks to Rory, Lauren and the ever-smiling Mark for working so hard to make our holiday so much fun. This chalet is very well designed, extremely comfortable and the food was good and plentiful. One suggestion might be to use serving bowls rather than plate up dinner as that way anything left over could be used by someone else (not necessarily even in the same chalet) rather than being wasted. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our week (and were very lucky with the weather too).

  • Wonderful experience

Bear lodge did not disappoint. Brand new, and beautifully appointed throughout. Our room was spacious, the bathroom had a bath and a good overhead shower. Plenty of hot water, a large comfortable bed with quality cotton duvet and pillows, and with a balcony overlooking the slopes which caught the afternoon sun. The staff took it to the next level and were friendly, willing to give recommendations on routes, restaurants, and hot chocolate stops, and generally just couldn't do enough to help. We had a last-minute change of plans when flights were canceled and we had to drive so arrived late and very tired. They came out to meet us, took our luggage and kept the kitchen open so we could eat. Food was good with a great choice of cooked breakfast along with a daily special as well as fresh pastries and fruit. A decent choice for the evening meal and the wine was a good standard and plenty of it. Would definitely recommend.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Chalet Kipnuk. Special thanks to our fantastic host Ellie for looking after us so well. Food was amazing and the accommodation was truly stunning. Felt very relaxed even with 4 kids in tow. Thank you also to a Charlie for helping out with lift passes and lessons for our youngest. Much appreciated. X

Everything was fabulous. Bear Lodge is a fantastic slope side lodge with everything you need for the complete ski holiday. We stayed in Suite Baloo and were looked after by Mimi, who picked up the rhythm of how we holiday really quickly, and gave us exactly the service we wanted. Suite Baloo also has the most incredible views of the Mont Blanc Massif, and seeing the sun set over those majestic mountains is a great way to end the day. All of the VIP team were committed to putting their guests first, and you could tell that from the atmosphere in the lodge; everyone was having a great time. Arcs 1950 is by far the most attractive of all the Arcs, and while smaller than the rest, has everything you need from a ski village and is only a two minute wonder up the slope. We're booking for next year - there's no other option worth considering!

  • Amazing resort, amazing staff, amazing lodge. It was so good i went to breakfast in my socks

I had an amazing holiday. I went in February half term and throughly enjoyed my stay. It exceed my expectations. The staff where lovely especially Anna, Gussie and Leah. The food was delicious (recommend the pancakes in the morning). After my delicious 3 course meal I loved going to the bar and playing a game of snooker. The Lodge it self was amazing with a pool, sauna, steam room, cinema etc. everything you need. It is modern but also traditional with amazing rooms that I wish was my bedroom. The lodge is as close as you can get to the slope, when they say ski in and ski out they mean it quite literally. There is a lovely town just a few minutes walk away with bars and restaurants. I would definitely recommend Bear Lodge and had many experiences with VIP SkI and never had a bad experience. All the staff are lovely, food always sensational and chalets beautiful. Have nothing bad to say about it as it is amazing!
