  • Marvellous Mio!

We enjoyed the most fantastic week in the Mio Suite at the Graciosa in La Plagne. Our chalet hosts, Joe, with Cam in a supporting capacity, were excellent, providing the most delicious breakfasts, afternoon teas and three-course dinners for our family. They were attentive without being intrusive and it was great fun chatting to them each day about our skiing adventures. The accommodation itself was perfect - comfortable beds, spacious living areas and bathrooms, all kept wonderfully clean and tidy for us. The whole VIP Ski team were incredibly welcoming and helpful, and we loved La Plagne as a ski resort. We’ll definitely be back next year and are counting down the days already!

Had a brilliant holiday, chalet hosts Elouise, Eleanor and Kam worked tirelessly to provide an excellent service. Nothing was too much trouble The mixed chalet worked really well for us. We met some great people and had a fab time all skiing together (thanks for leading Steve) and also forming a Rochette chalet quiz team in the bar! Will definitely book VIP again.

  • Perfect from start to finish - family and large group holiday

    Debbie Jones 27 Jan 2026

Our family of 5 (part of a group of 27) stayed at Bear Lodge for the first time January 2026; had the most wonderful holiday and would love to return year on year! The rooms were clean and although small, were ideal for what we needed, a place to sleep! Our balcony overlooked the slope and meant we were able to watch the avalanche dog boarding the chairlift every morning, which was quite the treat! The staff on site are extremely attentive and helpful. Particular mention to Charlie who had to deal with the carnage of 14 children most meal times but handled it calmly, always with a smile on his face and to Isabella who assisted my daughters in the bear cubs kids club. Her thoughtfulness and positivity meant that my youngest daughter had the most amazing week even though, at 5, she was unsure about the skiing lessons. Special mention to the food, bravo to the young chefs, it was delicious!!! The hotel amenities are a lovely bonus - there's nothing better than a dip in a hot tub, after a full day skiing but if I was being really picky the swimming pool could do with being slightly warmer. The on-site ski shop was extremely convenient, meaning collection of skis and boots etc. is quick and simple, and can be done in a way that doesn't disrupt ski time or involve dragging loads of kids to a nearby village! The hotel boasts a cinema room which was great for the children to congregate in and constantly showed films for them to enjoy. The disappointment here is that it is not available during the most needed hours (over adult dinner) as it is reserved for pyjama club (a paid extra). Definitely something that could do with review. The bar was a good alternative as it has a pool table, tv, dart board etc. but not an ideal space for unsupervised children to gather whilst other adults are trying to enjoy a peaceful drink. Overall, the hotel far surpassed our expectations. We barely walked anyway, as the slope was literally outside the boot room and the collection spot for the children's ski lessons organised through the hotel, was outside the door to the kids club. This made for a very relaxed, stress free holiday. Thank you all at Bear Lodge! Hopefully see you again very soon.

  • Thank you VIP Ski!

We had the best holiday we could have asked for. Adam, Floss, Sam, Anna and Maisie went above and beyond to make sure that we were all looked after. The service we received from Adam was impeccable, every booking and activity that we asked for was organised seamlessly. Floss, Sam and Anna couldn't have looked after us any better, and their cooking was incredible! And the two boys had the best week being looked after Maisie. Thank you so much and we will definitely be back!

  • The perfect ski holiday experience!

I have only started skiing in the last three years and have been lucky enough to have had all three trips with VIP Ski. I feel thoroughly spoilt and I don’t think I could go on a ski trip with anyone else! The service has always been impeccable and the chalet hosts are fantastic! This year we had the gorgeous Imani looking after us and what a fabulous host she was! Her food was amazing (she makes a mean lasagne and ginger cookies!) I could not fault her one bit. Always smiling and very easy to chat to, she clearly loves her job and it shows! The chalet was beautiful but our only criticism was the splinters we all got from the wood panelling which is everywhere! It could do with sanding/treating to make it a little less ‘rustic’! For this reason I have given 4 stars instead of 5.

  • Wonderful experience

We stayed in a Bear Club chalet and had an absolutely amazing holiday from start to finish. Both the hotel and our lodge were modern, beautifully designed and extremely comfortable, with excellent facilities throughout. The ski-in, ski-out location was fabulous and made everything so easy and stress-free. Our chalet host, Katie, was truly exceptional and a real highlight of the trip. Nothing was ever too much trouble and she went above and beyond to ensure our stay ran seamlessly. We travelled with our daughter who cannot have milk, and Katie tailored the catering perfectly around her needs, including making her special dishes and cakes, which made such a difference and allowed us to relax and enjoy the holiday fully. The childcare arrangements at Bear Lodge also worked incredibly well and helped the holiday run smoothly. Our daughter was dropped off at the crèche each morning at 9am, where Lauren, Rose’s key person for the week, got her ready for her ski lessons. ESF collected the children directly from the lodge and returned them in time for lunch, which was so convenient. In the afternoons, Lauren organised lots of fun activities, including swimming, pizza making and mocktail making sessions. She did a fantastic job and our daughter really loved spending time with her. The only area for improvement would be the temperature of the main pool, which many parents felt was quite cold for longer swims. As a result, families often moved into the hot tub to warm up, which made it less enjoyable, particularly as it’s not really an environment suited to children splashing and jumping. Overall, it was a fantastic holiday with outstanding service, brilliant childcare and a superb location. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and highly recommend Bear Club to families looking for a truly special ski experience.

  • Fabulous Ski Holiday

    Jeannie Archer 27 Jan 2026

As always, the staff were amazing. They really looked after us from tea in bed in the morning to our tea in the afternoon and some wonderful meals in the evening. The chalet was delightful beautifully furnished and very well designed. The room we had was petite but well designed. A couple of things on the downside. The chalet is advertised as Ski and Ski out. The boot room. is in the basement which means a lot of stairs before you get to the snow. Then you have to climb a slope to get onto the piste. Here on many occasions, the staff came to our rescue and carrying skis, et cetera. The ‘Ski In’ proved to be a little difficult as well as the apparent blue slope leading past the chalet is in fact more like a red slope. So quite difficult for basic skiers and beginners.. As our first run on arriving it was a difficult one for the average Skier. In talking to my Ski instructor during my lesson he did comment that a lot of of the blue slopes were quite difficult and probably wrongly labelled. We made great use of the ‘pick up’ service operated from the chalet by The extremely helpful staff. We were extremely lucky with the weather good snow some wonderful blue sunny days. All in all a really good holiday enjoyed with the Support of the young staff.

  • Ski holiday

Staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a shame that one of the outdoor hot tubs was not working for the whole week. With a full 24 bed chalet, having only one working all week did limit the use. Also the steam room was not hot on the first couple of days when we went there after skiing at approx 5pm. Despite this we did enjoy our week- the weather was great. The only thing is that it’s not that easy to ski back to the chalet in the evening, however the buses are very efficient.

  • Wonderful skiing holiday

The staff were very welcoming friendly and helpful during our stay. The hotel was very well-appointed with a lovely pool and spa facilities. Our bedroom, though quite compact, was very comfortable and the staff were very thorough with cleaning whilst being entirely unobtrusive. I was surprised by a strange alarm which sounded whenever I went into the bathroom (five long blasts), which seemed to be associated with moving towards the toilet. perhaps this was a warning that the towel rail was hot? The resort was very well-organised and the pistes were in excellent condition throughout our stay. We had an early start to the airport on Sunday and it was lovely to be greeted downstairs at 5am with tea, warm croissants and a bacon sandwich!

We had an amazing week at chalet Sakami. Gen and Rosie kept the chalet looking beautiful and cooked us some lovely meals. My personal favourite was the carrot cake! They both took great care of us especially when we had a couple of injuries/mishaps! Gen even cooked us a soup for lunch when we stayed at the chalet one day due to some injuries and sickness. Already want to visit again, thank you.
