We had a great holiday.
Chalet is well situated, well laid out to a nice specification. Spa facilities are great and we used them a lot.
Quality of food was excellent. the host's cooking was very good. menu's were good. the chalet was cleaned well. Staff service was good. they were all extremely polite, pleasant and helpful. Our chalet host was however unorganised and messy. meals were not on time and we had to make ski school. there was a noticeable difference when the replacement staff came in (Clarice), breakfast was laid out on time and served and cleaned up nicely. With the main host, we had to help lay table, the dishwasher always seemed full when we came back from skiing every day. On one day there was a horrible smell in the apartment and we found a rank smelling mop in one cupboard, a box of eggs in another which stank and worst of all, some unrefrigerated and putrid chicken in a cupboard. we placed this outside and reprimanded the host. the fridge management was poor and the fridge was always too full and smelt when you opened it. likely reason for chicken was that there wasn't room in the fridge. this shouldn't have happened given the cost. perhaps the manager should review each chalet daily? Other suggestions: Perhaps the chalet staff could assist with putting on children's ski boots. we have had that elsewhere. other negative were both transfers. given they were booked by VIP, VIP has to take responsbility. the inboiund didnt have 4 snow tyres, and had ineffective snow chains. the car was sliding around and felt unsafe. the journey took 90 mins longer than our freinds on the same flight. the outbound was fine, but the driver was nodding off at the wheel, which was v. stresssful. we had to request him to stop to have a coffee.
