Excellent service from beginning to end by all of your team, staff the company can be proud of, Lucy was first class and handled our sense of humour with aplomb. The only things that could be slightly better world be softer beds and maybe the ability to have the rooms a bit warmer, otherwise excellent will book again.

  • Perfect apartment and position

From the start the welcome was friendly and helpful. My husband and I drove through France and Charlotte helped us find the correct building when we arrived in Les Arcs. Theo and Alana were our hosts for most of the week with some fill in by Ellie - all of them were brilliant and felt like part of the family - wished we could take them home with us! Their cooking and service were amazing - they really went the extra mile. The apartment was spacious and comfortable. The ski room was heated, (sometimes a bit too hot) the door of which goes right onto the slopes. Ski hire easy and efficient. The pool was easily accessed by the lift or stairs and was always clean and tidy. The only negative that I can think of for the entire week was that I ate too much! What’s not to like! if we’re able, we will return.

  • Good to be back in the Alps!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Bear Lodge. The hotel’s design and facilities are superb, its location can’t be beaten and the staff were fabulous. We have previously stayed in your chalets in both Val d’Isere & Avoriaz and so had a high expectation for your newest property, and with one exception, it lived up to those expectations. Our one negative comment is regarding the quality of the food; whilst the menu was generally good the execution was rather hit and miss. For example, a panna cotta which wasn’t set at all, baked eggs which were still very runny underneath and 12-hour slow cooked lamb which was medium rare at best. Given the high standard of food that we have experienced previously this was disappointing. As mentioned above the staff were all lovely, and particularly accommodating when my husband was ill & we needed to have dinner in our room. Nothing was too much trouble and the WhatsApp Concierge was a good use of technology. We took advantage of the ski guiding, a great idea as very few people knew the resort well. It also helped create a more sociable atmosphere in the hotel, as those in the guiding groups often met up for drinks, dinner & even skied together on some days. On this occasion we decided to drive to the Alps, and as part of the booking it was mentioned that driving directions were available on your website. As we knew where the resort was, it was only when we were in France & needed the precise location of the hotel that we looked at the VIP website, only to find that Les Arcs wasn’t listed for driving directions! Fortunately Google maps came to the rescue, although it wasn’t immediately obvious when arriving by car that we had arrived at the correct place (the upper & lower driveways added to the confusion).

  • Excellent family ski holiday

An absolutely fantastic family skiing holiday. If you’re skiing with young kids I can’t imagine a better place to spend a week. The nannies were amazing and the kids loved the pool, cinema, afternoon tea etc. Our eldest (5 years) was in ski school and the nannies would take our youngest (2 years) up to meet her at the end of her lesson. All the kids would then have lunch and play together in the afternoon. The resort of 1950 is a lovely wee resort to walk around and very attractive compared to 2000 or 1800. Also, the hotel has a close relationship with ESF so even the end of week prizegiving was done in the hotel bar. It was the first year the hotel has been operated by VIP so there were a few teething issues but these pale into insignificance when compared to all of the positives. We’re going back next year.

The holiday was a great success! Phew!! There were a few little touches that could be done to improve things overall Eg bathrobes only available when asked for … with a swimming pool on the premises , wouldn’t it be a nice touch to Always have bathrobes at least for the adults? Similarly, no shampoo in bathrooms.. little touches .. Also, I would have preferred feather pillows and don’t like foam. I also didn’t like the under sheet as was synthetic, easycare. I understand why you have it but it doesn’t feel like quality! The chalet girls were delightful and intelligent and a pleasure to talk to. They were always friendly and helpful with the children. The staff in the kids club similarly were excellent. They helped make the holiday most relaxing as never did we have to worry about the kids. We were surprised that there was an afternoon off at the kids club and we ended up paying for a nanny to help on that afternoon. It was weird that the menu timetable seemed to be rigid as to what was possible and what could be served. It was always plentiful but did seem regimented? It would also have been nice if a box of tissues was available in the ski room, possibly next to the water. The most annoying thing was being charged for hot chocolate in happy hour as well as latte at breakfast. This was petty and unnecessary. But all in all it was a very successful holiday and we/I really appreciated all the help Louise gave me and we all appreciated the kindness and helpfulness of the chalet girls. Warmest Myra

  • Perfect family ski holiday!

We had the most wonderful holiday with VIP! In the ten yrs I’ve been a parent I was yet to find a holiday where it felt like I had a holiday as a mum, until now! Everything was so easy, I wouldn’t ski anywhere else with kids now! We’ve had some awful experiences with places that claim to be family friendly but VIP really was! All the staff were so brilliant and friendly and really go out of their way to help. Big shout out to Alana, Theo and Ellie our chalet hosts, they were perfect, kind and fun. Ben the resort manager sorted out some issues we had with ski school. Henry was really helpful on the coach and the kids loved the snacks! The nannies were super, msg to help put your mind at ease even when you haven’t asked them to, it’s all the little touches like that. The pool is beautiful and hot tub a real treat. The only issues we had were related to transfer. We had to wait 3hrs for our connecting coach which wasn’t ideal but once on it I was very pleased we took it, Henry was helpful, provided information, snacks, the kids had a run around at the stop and toilet on the coach was good. On the return the coach experience was a massive let down and such a shame to end an incredible wk this way. Masks compulsory, which is fair enough, however eating was prohibited! Being on an 11am coach for 3hrs over lunch with 4 children and no eating is not funny! We were told we were picking up guests at the bottom of the mountain in Bourg, which was fine, what we weren’t told was that this was the comfort break! None of the 7 of us went to the toilet as the rep had not said this was the comfort break. This would’ve been ok if we were allowed to use the toilet on the coach or eat on the coach! Coach driver was utterly grumpy and the toilet was clearly not broken he just didn’t want people to use it. The driver then said we couldn’t stop! Once one of the adults in the party said he’d wee on the coach he soon stopped and we had to go on the roadside! Not very VIP. All of this was very avoidable if the rep had told us the coach toilet didn’t work and when our comfort break was!(On the way out everyone used the toilet as you had to pay at the comfort break so it was understandable we assumed the same for the return.) The rep explained that each coach is different but that is not for guests to guess! I strongly recommend that VIP iron out which coach drivers/companies are better than others because this will impact their level of service when it is out of their control. If it was my company I wouldn’t be using the return coach driver again! First coach was honestly such a pleasant experience. Reps need to be well prepared and communicate to guests efficiently. Henry did just this. Other than this the holiday was flawless and we absolutely will return. Thanks so much VIP!

Overall very good. Comfortable, very well located chalet. Great service from Jess who is a first class, personable host, a good cook and good fun. Charlie dealt efficiently with the logistics including a late change of plan when one of our party had to delay arrival by two days. Two small niggles: first, it was disappointing that there was no flexi cover on Jess' day off. We didn't mind having to get our own breakfast or eating out in the evening. But it was irksome to get up on Wednesday morning and have to clear glasses and cups from the previous evening, unload and re-load the dishwasher and again at the end of the day. A quick 30 minute visit during the day could have covered this. Second, we asked the concierge service to book a table on our last day. The request was submitted at least 24 hours in advance but it appears that the call was not made and we couldn't get a table at our preferred restaurant. Another restaurant was suggested and we were told that a table was available. But when we confirmed 20 minutes later, we were told that the table had gone. We made our own arrangements. These are only small niggles but when we are paying a premium price for premium service, the details matter.

  • A great week.

I had a great week in Val, staying with you guys. I must say, it was the most I have paid for a ski trip, especially considering flights were not included, and it was relatively last minute. We were however tempted by your website and the high quality look of the chalet. I found the chalet to be a lovely environment that was clean and tidy. We really enjoyed the hot tub on the balcony and thought that everything worked well. I was a little disappointed with the room size as it was quite small and difficult to manage with 2 blokes and board bags, whilst maintaining a distance between us as in a twin room. My room was also really hot. We had the bathroom window open with both radiators off, yet I still woke up hot. It was only when we opened the balcony towards the end of the week that we got it to a comfortable sleeping temperature. We were lucky enough to have both Guy and Luke look after us. They are both a huge asset to your company. Guy is a fantastic cook who is very chilled out, accommodating, and where nothing was a problem. I am missing his cooked breakfasts in the morning. Luke filled in when Guy was off, so although I didn't experience his cooking as much, he too showed the same excellent qualities as Guy. I already consider myself to have good knowledge of L'esapce Killy, however they both gave us a few tips of a few things I have missed over the years. It was also great to hear how much they have both skied during the season. So many seasonaire's waste their time through laziness and hangovers, so it was great to hear they had got out a lot. Another positive reflection on their personalities. Having touched on the cooking already, I must say that I think the quality of your meals has been the best that I have had on a ski holiday. Great breakfasts, cake and dinners. I have no complaints. I have only given you 4 stars as although I think you stand out with the quality of your meals, Im not sure it is worth the extra money that I had spent. I actually prefer having to book my own flight, but I think that should be reflected in the cost. As I mentioned at the start, I have had a great week and I wouldn't hesitate to use you again. Many thanks, Wil

Grace, our host, was a joy. Tasty breakfasts, delicious afternoon cakes and wonderfully tailored evening meals (vegetarian for our party of 4). Ski in, ski out was as described with direct access to two high capacity chair lifts. We enjoyed skiing across the whole area, including La Plagne on a couple of days. The heated lockers ensured dry boots every day. Grace organised massages in the spa as an extra treat.

From the moment we arrived at No 8 Club Bellevardeour holiday became so much more than just about Skiing. We were blown away by the design, standard & spaciousness of this amazing chalet & our personal bedroom/ bathroom area was superb....which i hasten to add was kept immaculately clean by the staff throughout or stay. To wake up to such a stunning view every morning was a joy & to end our day knowing we could relax in either the sauna or steam room before a swim was just perfect. it also allowed breathing space between a slice of the beautiful cakes served each afternoon & the pre dinner canapes with our friends which along with the lit log fire were the most fabulous way to start each evening . We found all of the chalet staff a pleasure to get to know throughout the week, their professional but extremely warm & friendly manors were the added touch that made this ski holiday exceed our expectations of the words VIP. It was obvious from day one that Head chef Frankie set the bar high with her culinary standards & along with her team she did not disappoint!! So it is with High praise that we thank Frankie, Kate, Emma, Rachel, Grant & Steph for making our holiday truly special & reigniting our love to Ski
