We're laying it bare, warts and all, and with the name of the writer attached. It’s not easy to look at yourself objectively, so don’t listen to us, listen to our guests.

Our chalet host was absolutely fantastic, Clarice was wonderful and couldn't do enough for us! All 3 stars go to Clarice for a wonderful stay and brilliant hosting! The lack of the extra 2 stars was down to some unfortunate logistics and etiquette/not taking on board feedback from the management staff. Throughout our stay, members of staff came in to the chalet unannounced, which we felt was unprofessional. Most notably the manager Jemima. We did feed back that previously on a past VIP ski holiday staff had nocked and not just entered which would certainly have been preferable, and we were assured this had been fed back to management mid week on this holiday, but evidently it was ignored as it continued thoroughly the week and included Jemima barging in on several occasions unannounced including once at 21:40. This was quite a disconcerting experience, especially as we heard that previous guests had made similar comments and yet no change in attitude from staff was seen. I see no problem with the chalet host(s) coming and going, but expect a certain level of privacy which certainly wasn't the case this time. Learn to knock! The other issue we had was with transfers. This is something you certainly need to check - it's not something they tell you in person until 2 days before the end. Apparently it is on the invoice (but of course not all guests will see this). VIP ski appear to want to get you to the airport 4 hours early, which for us was 2 hours before we could even check in so had to sit with all our bags unnecessarily, in the airport. The logistics here certainly need to change as 4 hours before a flight is ridiculous and just causes unnecessary anxiety. The management were not helpful with this at all and we were told this is just how it is and how it's always been (not exactly flexible or willing to change following feedback). Several other guests were also not happy with how the transfers had been arranged by management. All in all a great skiing holiday, with a great host, chalet and food, but management let us down.
We are delighted that you enjoyed your holiday but apologise for the coming and goings from your apartment which would have been extremely annoying and has been addressed at a meeting of our colleagues in Aspen House this morning. Our sincere apologies.
With respect to your transfers, we have four scheduled bus services from Geneva to Val d’Isère and three services from the resort to Geneva, these scheduled transfers are complimentary with our holidays but arrival and departure times are necessarily fixed because they are chosen, booked and shared by up to 40 guests on different flights at different times of the day. Whilst comfortable, reliable and efficient, we recognise that scheduled services may not suit everyone, particularly those concerned about waiting unnecessarily at the airport. We have therefore negotiated with local taxi partners and subsidised the cost substantially so that it is easy to upgrade to a private taxi transfer from £50 per person depending on your group size. A great many of our guests to Val d’Isère choose to take private transfers and we think that this would be preferable for you in the future if, as we hope, you might chose to travel with us again. Alternatively, it might be more cost effective for you to book flights to match our scheduled bus times which are published on our web site. We are sorry that our scheduled services did not coincide with your own flights on this occasion.
Fantastic chalet and simple the best host(Jess) with a super back up host in Connor. The hosts looked after us really week and want the extra mile to ensure our holiday was great. Wellness suite clean tidy and really enjoyable. We were very fortunate with the weather but that is out with your control. Transfer efficient, drivers to take us to ski shop excellent. One tiny issue the bedside lights were not fixed to the wall and so unuseable
