We holidayed with a group of 14 people, 6 adults & 8 kids! Firstly the location is out of the world, ski in ski out convenience & balconies overlooking the slopes, amazing! The cleanliness was also incredible, the housekeeping team do a super job & the rooms are well laid out bright & spacious! The bar was enjoyable & the staff there were good fun. The ability to have your esf lessons right outside your door & in small groups is fantastic.
The only disappointing area was the restaurant which caused daily inconvenience & was unfortunate given the ‘vip’ title it certainly could not be described as a vip experience. The early dinner slot for the kids whilst convenient was very poor, our kids had skied all day & needed to eat a substantial filling meal the offerings were poor & not suitable to children eg spinach pasta bake, 2 goujons! 3 nights out of 6 the kids were forced to chose the alternative menu which was plain pasta & cheese - not acceptable & not filling they lived off bread & butter. There was clearly an issue in the kitchen as it took 30 + mins to bring kids desserts (6 bowls of ice cream)
The same problem occurred daily at breakfast with extremely slow service we had to adjust our wake up times to ensure we had eaten before needing to be out for lessons! When you ordered hot food (pancake, French toast, an egg, porridge) it took at least 30 mins each day to appear.
Dinner was tasty but v small portion size & very slow, twice we had to skip dessert to be back to collect kids from cinema club at 9.30
The young staff in the restaurant were always v friendly & helpful but it was hard for them hearing the mixed reviews from guests every day when the issue clearly lay in the kitchen / management.
Overall we had a great holiday & leave with very happy memories but will consider our options for next year carefully as we would expect a much higher standard of food in an elite hotel and some very small changes could improve things dramatically.
