    We had another wonderful stay in 312. The transfer, facilities, room, and staff were all wonderful. Front of house, bar and restaurant staff were always friendly and accommodating. The meals were very tasty. The only reason you have dropped a star is that on a few occasions the evening meals were not always hot when they reached our table and sometimes we had to ask for cutlery and crockery that had not been laid out. But otherwise it was excellent. Thank you.

    The location and amenities of the chalet were unmatched, making this probably the most relaxing ski holiday I’ve been on! The waitresses and bar staff were lovely too. Sometimes our room wasn’t cleaned properly in the day (empty glasses left and non hoovered floor) but this was minor and didn’t stain the week

    We absolutely loved our stay at bel sol from start to finish. Emma was an incredible host, nothing was too much trouble. She cooked us great meals, and was super accommodating with the various allergies and fussiness of our 3 kids. The chalet was spotless, and no corners were cut. The kids are even asking us ‘when are we going back to Emma’s house’! Feel it’s worth mentioning that the level of professionalism and approach from those covering Emma was not to the same standard, noticeably less care and pride taken. We understand that satellite/flexi staff aren’t as familiar with the chalet but had we had these guys all week we feel it could have been a very different experience. Emma is a credit to the company.

    Everything was as good as it could be and the staff were terrific HOWEVER the food was very poor and in spite of repeated complaints by quite a few people nothing changed. The chef never failed to disappoint.

  • Best Chalet in Morzine

    We have stayed before in Morzine with VIP ski, but this is the best property by far. Lots of room for our group of 10. Facilities were great. The outdoor hot tub was a great bonus well used by our group. All the staff we met were friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Food was amazing, varied and plentiful so a massive thanks to Ashley, with 3 choices for starter, main and dessert each evening. Ned went beyond, supplying us with drinks in the hot tub, and taking our robes out to us so we didn't get cold. Ned and Will also got involved in our groups week long game of Cluedo and The Traitors. Also big thanks to Emily who always had a smile and couln't do enough. We will be back and hopefully have the same team

  • Self drive to Avoriaz

    Following on from S Wade’s recent review, I would just like to add, how the VIP Team continued to provide excellent communication, welcome and support, to some of us who drove down for the first time this year. The communication , via What’s App, as we neared resort and welcome from Holly, (the resort Manager) was so easy and reassuring. We had pre booked, high vehicle parking, on line, via the Avoriaz website. This was a secure underground parking area and I would advise to book well in advance. We drove up to the resort and following the directions from the Avoriaz transport team, at the first barrier, we drove a short hop in and dropped our luggage, inside the “welcome station”, just opposite, all the indoor parking areas. Holly, Ben Asst Manager), Bailey and Liam were all there to meet us and help with our packed out car and load it all into the front loading snowcat, just next to us, to take to Chalet Ipaka Ben took us to a warm room and stayed with us, while Holly kindly went with my Husband, to park the car in the higher vehicle car park. We had an on line booking code, to punch into the entry gate and then take the ticket, for the whole week’s parking. N:B A front passenger is needed, when parking car, as the entry machines are on the passenger window side, so Holly was able to go with driver and assist with any hiccups getting in to the car park. But, all went very smoothly anyway. Holly even sent photos of the parking level and number of bay, for our return collection at the end of week, via VIP’s “Whats App Concierge Number”, we had been given. Just brilliant, effortless service, as usual from VIP, thanks so much. We would not hesitate to drive down again, just as welcoming P:S Wishing Alby, Our initial host, a speedy Recovery

    Chalet was in a beautiful location and hosts were lovely, friendly, helpful chaps. However not quite the 5 star experience we have had previously. Food was well presented and tasty but often not hot enough, also there seems to be a problem with communication and organisation at times. There a few other minor issues, which led me to give a 4 star rating. Overall great holiday in a beautiful location in a lovely chalet but ‘overworked in my opinion’ hosts. Few tweaks and it would be back to 5 star imo.

  • First Ever Ski Experience

    Our first ever ski holiday and we could not have hoped for a better location, the views from our balcony, close proximity to the ski lifts, esf ski school right on the doorstep and a short walk to the charming 1950 village. The hotel is beautifully appointed with the added bonus of the pool and thermal suite to relax in after a day on the slopes. The bedrooms are extremely clean and comfortable. The young staff are all friendly, welcoming and work hard, that said there does seem to be a lack of experience especially in the restaurant and kitchen. This is the only area that lets Bear Lodge down. The hot breakfast menu is limited and takes some time to arrive, the best offering of the week was an omelette, if this was offered daily it would be a huge improvement. The dinner options were better, the wine is great and there is plenty of it, most of the food was tasty although portion sizes were small, I feel the menu is overcomplicated, if it was simplified it would help the kitchen and the overall service would improve. The biggest let down was the kids dinner options, they were really poor and really needs to be looked at. If the restaurant made some easy adjustments it really could be a 5 Star experience.
