A Marketing professional with a love of travel and all things ski related. Nici secured her dream job with VIP SKI in 2010 and hasn't looked back since!

Marketing Assistant for VIP SKI

Thu July 11, 2019

We're currently seeking a MARKETING ASSISTANT to join the UK team in our Putney office. This is a permanent, full time position.

This could be a ‘dream job’ for the right candidate. It is a fantastic opportunity to work within Luxury Travel as part of a small but inspirational team, who are passionate about their brand, have an ambitious growth plan and the desire to achieve it.

The successful applicant will be working alongside the Marketing Manager, in this ‘hands on’ role covering all areas of Sales & Marketing. All you`ll really need is a creative and pro-active approach; a desire to get involved at all levels and willing to take ownership of certain projects.

We’re a friendly bunch, but this role is not a walk in the park, you`ll need a keen interest in skiing, dedication, a desire to learn and a genuine love of all things snow. You’ll need to get the details right through strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail. You’ll fly high above the competition by demonstrating a creative streak and an ability to think outside the box.

The Best Ski Resorts for Beginners

Tue July 09, 2019

Standing a-top the mountain taking in the spectacular views, breathing in the fresh, alpine air and watching people zoom by on skis and snowboards, it is easy for beginners to get ahead of themselves. They may not have all the necessary skills just yet, but they can already envision themselves speeding down the mountain like Lindsay Vonn or Bode Miller.

If you’re planning a ski holiday with beginners soon, play it safe by choosing a resort that is appropriate for novice levels. This way, no matter how cocky your novice skier, you can rest assured they won’t risk injury by heading out onto an adventurous slope.

Here is the best selection of ski resorts most suitable for beginners:

Behind the Scenes: Chalet Photo-Shoot in St Anton

Fri June 21, 2019

Whenever we open a new chalet there’s always race within the office to be the first to visit it in person. No matter how much you pore over the floorplans, examine the photos and check the exact location on a map, there’s no substitute for getting out to resort and seeing the chalet in real-life, technicolor glory.

With four chalets in St Anton and an entire hotel in St Christoph new for winter 2019/20, it was high time for a trip to the Arlberg. The sales and marketing team were lucky to spend last week touring all five properties and familiarizing ourselves with the layout of this brilliant resort. Truly deserving of the “cradle of alpine skiing” accolade, St Anton is just as spectacular in the summer as in the winter.

So, where on earth are they?

VIP CLUB Fritz and chalets Rohtang, Montafon and Silvretta are all located overlooking the town, in an elevated position above the Galzigbahn and Rendlbahn gondolas. The walk downhill takes 6 minutes (we timed it!) and you can make it back up for afternoon tea in 6 ½ minutes (if you’re walking with purpose). Rather than walking, all four chalets will be serviced by our chauffeur service which will operate between 8am and 8pm for those who don’t fancy another hill at the end of the day. The spectacular views from the balcony will look a little different once the resort is covered in snow.
