I have had a wonderful week. Hotel very comfortable and staff extremely friendly and helpful. Food was delicious many thanks to Luke the chef. A really comfortable place to stay with a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it to others and will certainly be returning.
The ski area has plenty of options for each ability but probably not great for beginners. The hotel was lovely and the best part was the staff, being diligent, friendly and just generally being good at their jobs. The rooms were cleaned regularly, the food was fantastic, always someone to give us a hand whether being a lift or booking etc. The wine was lovely and we tried each one. We didn't come with children but they also were incredibly well looked after with dinner being earlier too which was appreciated. The only note I would make to VIP ski is that there is a gender generalisation here which need not be so... men driving and ski hosting and women cleaning and waiting. It doesn't have any impact on the quality of the holiday but being female, doing a 'male' job and having done a ski season many years ago I noticed it immediately and feel that they could maybe give some of their excellent staff some more opportunities.
Steve and Nicky were brilliant looking after us in the chalet - great service and v. fine food! No request was too much trouble. The chalet is very clean and comfortable, albeit more apartment than alpine chalet; great location for Nasserein lift. The check-in at the airport on the way home was problematic, but BA's fault rather than VIP's. I will definitely be back again with VIP!
We were greeted by very professional VIP staff at the airport most notably Pip, she and her team were very courteous and helped us with our luggage and we were swiftly on the transfer to resort. At the chalet we were greeted by Hannah, James, Huey and the rest of the chalet team who provided a great service to us throughout the week. Meals were generally of a very good standard cooked by Stuart and his sous chefs all week. The chalet has excellent facilities, in particular the wellness centre adjacent with pool, steam and saunas etc as well as 2 x hot tubs really added to the VIP experience. Although the twin rooms and bathrooms are a little on the small size they are nicely fitted out and have a contemporary feel. Unlimited beer and wine from the bar and the Nespresso machine were also nice additions all week. The VIP concierge service for lifts and bookings etc really is an excellent service too, we extracted full value from that. A thoroughly enjoyable ski holiday to celebrate my birthday!
It was such a pleasure skiing with Graham Bell and Telegraph ski team members Tim & Ollie. We had a fabulous week in St. Anton despite the heat and testing snow conditions which by the way we really enjoyed! VIP SKI is a very impressive operation. First day 'ski-nerves' were meticulously managed by Rachel and her team at the relaxed and stylish Hotel Montjola. Her staff were attentive, polite and responsive to all our needs, and we were struck by how hard they all worked to ensure we had a great holiday. Warning: be prepared to eat and drink as the dining experience at this hotel is exceptional. One of the best ski-trips I have had in a long time!
