Clearly we think we're great, why come to work otherwise. But what do our customers say? We know that web sites are littered with anonymous out of date testimonials that it’s difficult to trust, but we're displaying comments written by our current and recent guests live, here on our web site. We're laying it bare, warts and all, and with the name of the writer attached. It’s not easy to look at yourself objectively, so don’t listen to us, listen to our guests.

  • Fabulous!

We had the most amazing time at La Plagne. The staff could not have been more helpful. They were charming and efficient, excellent ambassadors for the company. We were most impressed with the menu. Beth was a fabulous cook. This added to the holiday hugely as it was so nice to have a fabulous meal without any of the effort involved in finding a restaurant. The chalet was beautifully situated. We had amazing views. The child care was great. We had a private nanny as they weren’t enough children for the nursery so that was great. We really felt that all the staff couldn’t do enough for us. It was a very slick operation from start to finish. Thank you for looking after us so well.

  • A wonderful family holiday at Bear Lodge

    Ellen Ward 23 Feb 2026

We had a wonderful first stay at Bear Lodge for half term. Having previously stayed nearby at CLUB 2140, we were familiar with how VIP Ski operate and were looking forward to our children meeting others their age in ski lessons and at Bear Cubs, with the hope that they would go to lessons happy and settled. Given that both girls went to Pyjama Club every night to be with their newly-made friends, couldn’t wait to get out on their skis each morning and each said multiple times that they didn’t want to come home, I can safely say that it was a success! The nannies were wonderful - our key person, Isabelle, was instrumental in helping the girls feel comfortable and attended to and was brilliant at keeping in touch with me and my husband, sending messages with photos and updates. We very much enjoyed the food on offer, however there were some very minor issues with service at times, with staff on one occasion not being present at all in the dining room and on another occasion I think we may have been forgotten. I’m also aware that it was difficult at the beginning of the week, when the first day saw the resort closed and therefore more pressure on the staff in the hotel. It was a little frustrating that we were advised that lunch would be provided, however the soup ran out 10-15 minutes into service and we hadn’t made alternative plans. I appreciate that lunch isn’t usually put on for guests, but to state that it would be on this occasion, there should have been more provision. Not a huge deal by any means, but something that could be thought about a little more for the future. I only mention these things to suggest a little tightening in this area, to reflect the high standard seen in all other aspects. I certainly appreciated the friendliness of the whole staff, who seemed to be happy to work in the hotel and cater to the guests’ needs and mostly were engaging and interested in how we were enjoying our stay. Having the concierge so easily accessible on WhatsApp was a great touch and took a lot of the thought process out of our daily scheduling. They were quick to respond to any queries we had and very helpful in making lunch bookings at local restaurants. The hotel facilities were excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our amazing stay! We can’t thank you all enough for making this our best and favourite ski holiday and maybe even best family holiday ever. We hope to be back next year!

  • A magical week in the mountains for the whole family!

We had a fantastic February half term week away with the whole family. Holidying with four kids can be a tricky business, but the VIP experience really did make it so easy and enjoyable. We were looked after at every step from seamless booking to wonderful breakfast, dinners and just general help with carrying gear! A massive thank you to the Nanny service too - Mary-Ann was essential in making our week so wonderful, knowing our littlest ones were so well looked after and having so much fun made it all the better - so much so we’re looking at the possibility of returning later in the season….probably just holiday blues talking but you never know!!

  • Wonderful getaway

Thank you to all the staff, especially Beth who was our host, and Connie and Lily who spent time with our littlest. Also to Ben and Charlie and Finn for picking us up, and to Holly for helping us out with the bedding. The food was incredible, and we would love the recipes for the meals we had if possible. The kids also loved their foods, and the experience in general. The experience was wonderful, even considering the injuries. :) A few suggestions to make it even more magical: - Hooks closer to the door on the balcony away from the weather -Choice of breads. We love bread, but prefer brown and seeded breads. -Avoiding music while cooking, or ask if it's okay (not Beth) -There was a dripping noise in bedroom 1, likely from the downpipe on the wall outside, but it was quite audible and can be disturbing to some people. -Sledges and snow. Invest in some fancy and extra fun sledges, and tools for building things in the snow. Plastic boxes for making snow bricks, big shovels and buckets and so forth. Great for those memorable moments and photos. We highly recommend the experience for the whole family, and again thank you to everyone.

  • Family of 5 first ski trip

We had such a wonderful week at the Matterhorn Suite in La Plagne! It was our first time skiing with our 3 kids aged 9,7 and 4 and it couldn’t have been easier. We were looked after impeccably from start to finish - Will was so friendly and helpful when he collected us from the airport (no struggling with directions or bags!) and when we arrived we were settled into the luxury that continued throughout the holiday by our amazing chalet host Ed Zarawski with a glass of champagne in the hot tub! Ed was such a lovely, warm presence who was also great with kids and the most incredible chef - it really was like having Michelin star catering every night in the comfort of your apartment! And the entire holiday was only made possible with the help of our wonderful private nanny Lily Keith - who not only took all 3 kids on adventures while we skied but also encouraged a nervous 4 year old onto the slopes and encouraged him so much in his private lessons that he wants to come back again next year! VIP Ski has really thought of everything for families - it was such a great week - easy, luxurious and fun! We will be back!

  • Our first family ski holiday

We chose Bear Lodge for our first family ski holiday with our 8 year old son and 5 year old daughter, together with another family with three children aged 5,8 and 10. We stayed in chalet Mouk which was a perfectly sized 4 bedroom chalet for our group. We had plenty of space and the views of the mountains from our wrap around terrace were spectacular! Our chalet hosts Eliza and Rosanna were amazing! They made such an effort to make us feel welcome and we quickly settled into our holiday. The children loved chatting to them about living and working in Bear Lodge and even roped them into playing their games, which Eliza and Rosanna participated in with plenty of energy! The children got on so well with them that they said they missed them on their day off! The quality of the food prepared by Eliza and Rosanna was exceptional! It is fair to say that we didn’t go hungry and they were brilliant at catering for the children - no request was too much trouble! The amenities at Bear Lodge are second to none with the wellness centre being a big hit with children and parents alike! The bar area was really well appointed and the complimentary charcuterie board on the bar was a welcome surprise after a long day on the slopes! The on piste location made getting the children to their ESF skiing lessons as easy as possible in the morning with the meeting point being on the 4th floor terrace of Bear Lodge. Ski hire was on the 3rd floor and was made really easy with the brilliant virtual queue system of scanning a QR code to take your place in the boot room queue so you didn’t have to wait in line. A great idea! We have had the most amazing first family ski trip. We have left with memories that will last a lifetime and some super eager junior skiers! The holiday was so good that we have just booked to come back next year! Is there is a higher endorsement than that…?

  • Fantastic!

The feedback from our family is that all VIP team at 3&4BV and service were excellent and were the best we have had with VIP. . Food fabulous! Shout out to Josh, Amelia, Devon, in chalet… and our two incredible chefs but who must start a chocolate business! Even bigger shout out to Jake and Gaby for coordinating the boys and bags while Ali was delayed .. will we ever find the purple peuguot?! Another shout out to Oscar the driver! All staff were amazing. Exceptional even . Chalet looks and feels so good after its renovation. Just a couple of points we felt would make it even better! Slippers or sliders for hot tub access! Showers rather than half baths - pointless for tall people and hard to climb into after a day skiing! Pick up and drop off service could have been more flexible and responsive - Especially on snow days.
