Well, were to start...
In short, we were absolutely blown away by the service and the thoughtfulness of the team at VIP. We arrived on a very last minute booking due to the Covid restrictions and arrived a little shell shocked and exhausted. We were met by the team and they were so very kind, helpful and full of enthusiasm. The chalet was new after it’s refit and they really couldn’t do anything more to help us settle in – we were new, the chalet was new and they were new to the game – but it was such a fantastic welcome. And from there it simply got better.
Nothing was too much trouble, they were fantastic hosts from the tea in the morning, to helpful advice, to afternoon tea and a delicious supper. They accommodated our changes to the menu (we didn’t want pud but wanted just cheese instead and they delivered a truly impressive cheese board - fanned apple anyone?), our slightly fussy 16 year old, an truly AMAZING christmas dinner and any other whims we may have had.
They did this all whilst the rest of their peers were ‘on holiday’ due to the lack of guests. Even when we asked them to not do our rooms in the morning so they could go and ski – they did. To perfection.
Gu – was also incredibly helpful, with pass sanitaires, ski passes and the Covid positive tests (less said the better). Everything was handled with professionalism and care.
They delivered an amazing Christmas for us, made me feel like a queen ( chilled wine in the hot tub whilst I read by book, followed by the sensible and welcomed iced water) and really couldn’t do any more to make us have a fantastic holiday.
They all deserve a huge congratulations on an amazing job. Because of them we will definitely be back skiing with VIP.
And so the end, thank you to the chalet crew – you were amazing – especially to Mo and Ude. And thank you to VIP for selecting great hosts and training them impeccably. You have got it right, and so many haven’t.
