  • Amazing Chalet and location, it has it all.

    We had an amazing week staying at Bear Lodge in the Grizzly Suite. The attention to detail in the chalet was outstanding which made it a home from home for the week. The amenities in the lodge were great including the swimming pool, bar and cinema. What made our holiday even better was the childcare facilities, the girls were amazing with the kids and they loved going every day which made it easier for us to get out and enjoy the skiing. The ski in and ski out set up and location of the chalet was perfect. Our chalet hosts were unbelievable and nothing was ever too much for them. They also supplied us with great food and the afternoon cakes were delicious. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to enjoy every aspect of their skiing holiday. We hope to be back again soon.

    Fantastic holiday in Avoriaz…didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to go back! We were looked after superbly by the Amazing Amelia (and Henry and the wider VIP team) from start to finish! We were served unbelievably good food (and SO much of it). Amelia went above and beyond to create a special birthday for my daughter complete with the cake of her choice and balloons! Fab chalet in the heart of Avoriaz with a view you could never tire of. All the ingredients for a family holiday creating memories we will never forget!

    The chalet was kept tidy and spotless on a daily basis. Our chalet host Conor was fabulous !! Great company, very Informative and 5* food ! He provided everything we needed without ever being in the way. My only criticism is that the other hosts that come and go don’t knock, or slightly open the door and call out to see if anyone is in, they just open the front door and bowl straight in unannounced which is very uncomfortable as one time I was changing in the lounge area so had no clothes on and to be honest that takes away all privacy completely so I really think the staff should be trained to knock or call ‘is it ok to enter’ first !

  • First class service in a first class resort

    Wow what a week we have just had helped by some of the best skiing conditions we’ve had in a long time. From the moment we arrived in the resort VIP, and specifically Michaela our chalet host, delivered a first class service. The reception area and common areas are comforting and clean. The boot room spacious with individual lockers with easy access and the spa area was fantastic with a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. Our chalet was gorgeous with spacious well kept rooms and a wonderfully modern but homely open living space . What can we say about Michaela except that she is an absolute asset to your company. Nothing was too much trouble our every need was catered for and she showed a genuine interest in us and making sure we had the best holiday. She is so customer focused and we can’t thank her enough. We must also give a shout out to Jonah who showed a maturity beyond his age and again made us feel spoilt. The location of Aspen house couldn’t be much better with a really short walk up to the main lifts and in the heart of the old town which is beautiful. The church next door is well worth going into as it is amazing( don’t worry the bells don’t chime constantly or during the night so you get an amazing nights sleep). If we were to identify one area for improvement it would be with the welcome in Geneva and the transfer process. When we landed in Geneva it was hard to find the reps ( huge crowds) and when we did we were informed that the bus just leaving was full and we’d have to wait at least 1-2 hrs for the next. We were told there was no where to leave bags and dismissively sent to wait near a cafe- no seats for awhile. It was less than ideal and somewhat chaotic. The transfer it’s self was fine although two hours in we stopped only to find the services closed- gents able to use the bushes but ladies had no such luck. The return transfer was worse as we were put on a transfer that meant a four hour wait in the airport. We left the resort at 5.00am and got back to our house in west wales at 8.40pm (uk time) so a journey of 15.30 hours. Not the way to end an amazing holiday. We understand that since Covid VIP are using scheduled flights which makes transfer difficult but maybe smaller mini buses linked to the individual flights would be better or be honest up front and tell us what to expect. We will definitely use VIP again and will have no Hesitation in recommending to others- thank you and good luck for the future.

    With respect to your experience at Geneva, it is increasingly difficult to manage the crowds at certain times on a Sunday and we apologise that this experience was nowhere near as smooth as we would have liked. We now have a manned desk in the Arrivals Hall to try and make locating us easier but will continue to look at how we can make this experience better. With regard to your transfers, we have four scheduled bus services from Geneva to Val d’Isère and three services from the resort to Geneva, these scheduled transfers are complimentary with our holidays but arrival and departure times are necessarily fixed because they are chosen, booked and shared by up to 40 guests on different flights at different times of the day. Whilst comfortable, reliable and efficient, we recognise that scheduled services may not suit everyone, particularly those concerned about waiting unnecessarily at the airport or leaving resort too early on the return. We have therefore negotiated with local taxi partners and subsidised the cost substantially so that it is very easy to upgrade to a private taxi transfer from £50 per person depending on your group size. A great many of our guests to Val d’Isère choose to take private transfers and we think that this would be preferable for you in the future if, as we hope, you might chose to travel with us again. Alternatively, it might be more cost effective for you to book flights to match our scheduled bus times which are published on our web site. We are sorry that our scheduled services did not coincide better with your own flights on this occasion.

    Hi we’ve just arrived home following another week with you guys in Bear Lodge, Les Arcs. We stayed in chalet Koda (our second visit as the first was so great!) and were looked after by Becca. We couldn’t have asked for more from a ski trip – the accommodation was as fabulous as last time and Becca, our chalet host looked after us brilliantly. Nothing was too much trouble for her, and she was also great fun to have around. We loved the ski-in/ski-out from the boot room and to be able to relax in the jacuzzi and sauna after a days skiing was luxury. Can’t recommend you all highly enough and we will definitely be back!     The holiday was faultless. Prior to leaving the UK, we received an introduction call from Kristen to ensure we had all the information we needed regarding being met at Geneva airport, the coach transfer and whether we had everything for our holiday. It was reassuring that we had a name and contact number if it was needed at all, though it wasnt as the service was perfect from the transfer, getting our large party and all our luggage to the chalet. We were then met by our chalet hosts, Matt and Robin at Chalet Beluga. They were so welcoming. They were very professional and really good with not just us adults but also with the children in our party. We were all so impressed with the amazing food they prepared and how they manged to keep the chalet immaculate. They looked after us so well and nothing was too much for them. They went above and beyond what was expected to ensure we had a fantastic holiday. They are a credit to VIP Ski

    It was our second time to Bear Lodge and it did not disappoint. In fact, I think it was even better this year! We are a family of 4 with 2 children (5 and 8) and the hotel couldn't be better set up for us. The girls loved seeing Christina and her team in Bear Cubs again and their flexibility enabled us to do something different everyday to work around their ski lessons and our plans. The kids had the same instructor as last year which was brilliant and the set up that VIP has with ESF works so well. It's a real bonus having the instructors pick up and drop off at the hotel and they are all lovely. The hotel staff are charming, helpful and they all seemes really keen to ensure their guests have a great holiday. You seem to consistently recruit well and it doesn't go unnoticed. The hotel itself has everything. The bar felt more lived in this year which was nice and the ease of everything made the whole week a total joy! The only criticism I have is the standard of the transfer coaches. These have definitely been downgraded since last year and both coaches we went on were very cramped and a bit shabby. They don't represent the rest of the holiday and your brand and so maybe something to consider. We have come back glowing with happiness (and rosé and tartiflette) but also pretty sad that our holiday is over! Keep up the good work and we look forward to doing it all over again next year!     Title above says it all (Absolutely fantastic and better than we could have even hoped it to be!). We stayed in No. 8 Club Bellevarde as a mixed group of 14 and everyone had an absolutely amazing time and were incredibly well looked after by a wonderful team of lovely staff on the ground. Thank you so much and we would absolutely recommend both VIP Ski and the chalet we stayed in to anyone considering a similar trip!
