This was our first time with VIP ski and you had been recommended whole heartedly by friends. I think this, coupled with your photos and descriptions meant there was an initial ‘disappointment’ that it was not as ‘polished’ and ‘special’ as we were expecting. This hotel is in a great spot and yet it manages to create a rather cold ‘6th form common room’ sort of ambiance in the social spaces. This is in part to do with the temperature ( not cosy enough) the lighting (often too bright and harsh) and the fact that the bar area was invariably dominated by the staff. It lacks a special warm inviting atmosphere and a lack of a fireplace is a significant omission. There are a lot of staff, some friendly and interesting but some decidedly scruffy and not as engaging. I’m not sure what the VIP staff dress code is; it was impossible to know. Clearly there are no standards for footwear! (A deliberate young cool doody relaxed vibe for staff can work very well but this felt like an accidental mishmash. ) In a hotel you expect the staff to be fully trained and professional in appearance too. On the Austrian night staff served in waist coats and looked like they had made an effort to be smarter, but this was just one night. The food was generally good and yet the meal times often felt very rushed. Our time in the dining room seemed to be dictated by the staff need to set up for breakfast and the service was not well paced. An over-seeing member of staff to check that things were as they should be seemed to be missing and hence guests were sometimes chasing some basic stuff . Mistakes happen but at times it all felt a bit chaotic. Communication between staff seemed to break down at times, hence early morning tea orders, for example, got in a complete muddle... this is pretty basic stuff! It is disappointing that we were disappointed with certain aspects of VIP and had to witness other guests getting frustrated with stuff too. We had a wonderful holiday on the slopes as the skiing, the weather, the ski hire and the position of the hotel all made for an excellent week But I didn’t feel like a VIP in the hotel. Sorry to report on these negatives, and I would like to have a response please. And no we didn’t raise stuff in resort ( I know others did) because I really didn’t want to waste energy or time on this during our holiday. Many staff were trying their best but this is a hotel lacking in some strong imaginative leadership to turn this into a slick operation and help negate some of the problems with the fabric of the building And so I am sad to report that something was definitely missing. .

A great short break experience. Flights, transfer and snow cat to our accommodation was flawless. The chalet was lovely and cosy with great views. It would be nice to return later in the season to make the most of the balcony! Johnny and Ferley were great hosts. We were lucky enough to meet and share the chalet with some great people and ended up skiing together for most of the week. Would definitely book again. If you are only on a short break it is great to be next to the piste.

What a fantastic ski holiday. VIP ski made everything a memorable holiday, comfort, great food , great chalet staff Ben and Scott. Avoriaz has everything at your convenience. Ski in ski out, shops, horse and cart taxi rides to get about town, great restaurants, jumping Apres ski La Follie Douce, sophisticated apre bar for a quite drink at La Cabane. The ski area is amazing from beginner with our friend (Avoriaz has great facilities for beginners right in the resort, making it stress free for skiers Shen starting out. They can finish lessons right in town and meet friends at Apres ski bars). The Porte Solei region is huge with skiiing for all abilities. Cozy little mountain restaurants can be found all over. Highly recommend VIP skiing in Avoriaz!!

My first time with VIP Ski and definitely not the last... Myself, my partner and 2 friends booked a week at The Manoir in January where we were hosted by 3 fantastic individuals. Henry, Georgia & Eleanor were the reason why this trip was so memorable with their down to earth approach and constant attentiveness. They went far and wide to accommodate our requests. Credit to the whole team, the trip would have been nothing without these guys! I would also like to take a moment to mention Eleanor's cooking, and the daily baking - WOW. The chalet is stunning, with amazing views overlooking Morzine (Room 1). Transfers were smooth to and from the chalet. We were slightly apprehensive about sharing a chalet with other guests, but we were lucky to have met friends for life. A great experience and can't wait for next time! If this was my first VIP Ski experience, then sky's the limit!

Good. Enough snow, lots of sun and powder at the end! The staff, Patrick and Jack, were attentive and helpful. My diet was rather exacting and they delivered very good food. I would like to thank them especially.

First rate! From lovely chalet, charming and very capable chalet hosts, Mally and Kyle, and helpful drivers, there whenever you need a lift. Felt very spoilt. Food was delicious and plentiful
