This was our second stay in Choko.
We liked:
our host, Annabel (and Henry), our comfortable accommodation, the great location (although access, to boot room from the slope, would be a challenge for beginners at the end of the day!), the comfortable pool area, the new toiletries (why aren’t they everywhere?), delicious food, the helpful, solicitous call the week before departure, the efficient organisation of private transfer, the wonderful welcome when we arrived on Sunday morning. The wine was well chosen, we especially enjoyed the house champagne. The staff presence in the bar positively added to the atmosphere. The ski hire on site, Annelise was helpful. The beds were comfortable.
We were disappointed by small details:
not having Greek yogurt, despite pre stay request-resolved mid stay, following petition to manager-or salted butter (self purchased). The suggested charge for an additional towel.
I would have preferred :
better quality bed linen and toilet rolls, mid stay.a menu for breakfast, to suggest options. The interesting menu could be more balanced: salmon fish cake starter (substantial!) and potatoes with main course, canapes on first night. A milk frother with the coffee machine would be helpful. After our first day the hot tub became very busy so we stopped using the spa facility. The communal corridor and gym floor could be more frequently cleaned-the carpet outside our room needs a proper clean!
I don’t understand why there is a charge for soft drinks and beer. The cushions are uncomfortable, although hard wearing!
