Clearly we think we're great, why come to work otherwise. But what do our customers say? We know that web sites are littered with anonymous out of date testimonials that it’s difficult to trust, but we're displaying comments written by our current and recent guests live, here on our web site. We're laying it bare, warts and all, and with the name of the writer attached. It’s not easy to look at yourself objectively, so don’t listen to us, listen to our guests.

From start to finish, we had an absolutely incredible stay and I would not hesitate to recommend VIP and Chalet Madrisah to anybody else in the future. Our hosts, Charity and Will, were really excellent. Both of their cooking was delicious (particularly the Duck day and the Val pasta special). They were really flexible re our special requests. They were informal yet professional - they did their jobs brilliantly, but it felt like we were staying with friends. We got engaged during our stay, and Charity and Will went out of their way to make the day extra special for us, by cooking our favourite food and arranging for presents/surprises. Thanks to VIP for the champagne as well! For people worried about not being in central Val D'Isere - don't worry at all. The driver service is available as and when you need it (even on the hosts' day off) and so its probably easier to get to the slopes than being in the centre of town and having to walk 5 minutes with your skis. Thanks especially to Tom, Ralph and Sam, who were really friendly and carted us around as and when we needed (even when we forgot things!). Whilst the driver service stops at 8pm, the walk into and out of town for evening drinks was a 10 minutes walk at the most and very nice in the snowy environment. We had an absolutely fantastic break with VIP Ski - I would be extremely reluctant to book a skiing holiday with any other company in future. Thank you for everything. P.S. The only thing that was missing was a pen in the living room on the morning of our departure - I was unable to write a thank you note to our amazing hosts!!
We first stayed at the Altitude Lodge in 2011 and we've now been back three times - so obviously we like it a lot. The ski-in ski-out location is ideal. It's also a good place to get lessons - we used LGS. Altitude Lodge offers good food especially at lunch-times. For non-meat eaters, the evening meals are not so great - somewhat dated ideas about vegetarian food, mostly bland and sometimes just peculiar. Pity! The staff are friendly, always helpful and efficient. It's very likely we'll be back - yet again.
As a veteran of approximately 20 chalet ski holidays, I am going to say, this one was right up with the best. Refuge Darbay is pint sized but for 4 guests, it is more than adequate, and its location is great. You just ski back to the Medran lift station, and within the building is the ski park/locker. Sit on a sofa to put on your shoes, park your skis and boots. Walking the 100m back to the Chalet involves passing a great aprés ski pub, which I have to confess, very often we didn't get passed without stopping. The Chalet was temporarily hosted by Amy during our week and she was lovely. She kept the place very clean and tidy, she produced fantastic food from that pint sized kitchen, she was always friendly, cheerful, helpful and on top of all that she managed to meet us out skiing several days. Matt guided us on the first day because we were new to Verbier, and he gave us a brilliant day, he was friendly, personable, and helpful. He gave us a good introduction to the ski area, which enabled us to explore for the rest of the week. Laura called into the chalet several times and was also really nice, but everything was going so well, we didn't need a resort manager much! To conclude, a great week, partly due to snow conditions and blue skies, but mainly due to the VIP resort staff particularly Amy. Thanks.
