March ski holidays

Choosing the best time of the season for your ski holiday could be the difference between a good holiday and a fantastic holiday. March ski holidays generally deliver warmer more settled weather and longer days. Definitely quieter than February, but a little busier than January, March ski holidays are a popular month for those who want to enjoy long ski days and an après ski drink in the sunshine. With the lighter evenings the lifts operate a little later in the day, so you can enjoy a few extra runs before heading back to the chalet, or opt for a drink on the terrace with sunglasses on as the sun sets.

Skiing in March

Typically March is one of the snowiest months in the French Alps, so you're pretty much guaranteed great skiing conditions and milder temperatures. Some people may think March is late to be skiing, but with most resorts open right until the end of April there might even be time to squeeze in a second holiday! 

Beat the queues

If you aren't constrained to school holiday dates, why not consider a skiing holiday in March? With longer days, fresh snow, sunny lunches, fewer queues...what's not to love?

Easter holidays

Easter is late in 2025 with many UK schools breaking for the Easter holidays between 30 Mar and 20 April so you can enjoy some spring skiing over the Easter break. The Easter bank holidays fall towards the end of the holidays with Good Friday on the 18th April and Easter Monday on the 20th April. Plan a holiday around the bank holiday weekend and ski 6 days with only 4 days off work.
