Winter 2025/26: A Season to Remember

As the lifts close and our teams head home for summer, it's time to reflect on what made winter 2025/26 so special. This was a season defined by our successful return to La Plagne, record February snowfall that tested us all and the kind of spring skiing conditions that reminded everyone why high-altitude resorts deliver right through to closing day.
Here's what made winter 2025/26 one for the record books.
After 5 years away, Winter 2025/26 marked our return to La Plagne with the Graciosa and what a return it was. Sixteen suites sleeping 4-15 guests, perched at 2,003m in Plagne Centre with genuine ski-in/ski-out access. Bear Cubs childcare on-site for families needing flexible and friendly care. A partnership with Oxygène Ski School ensuring seamless ski lesson coordination. And a team led by Holly who set the bar exceptionally high from day one.
The results speak louder than we ever could: 284 guest reviews, every single one rated 4-star or above with the vast majority awarding 5 stars. Guests consistently praised the exceptional service, the unbeatable location and the quality of food and hospitality that made their weeks special.
"The service was incredible: nothing was too much trouble, and the team really made the stay special."
"The bear cubs team were fantastic, doing so many lovely activities with the children and spending the majority of the time outside with them. Big shout out to Lauren who looked after our children and we trusted her from the get go. The children had such a fun week!"
"A special shout out also goes to the concierge service. Probably the most efficient concierge I have come across. They helped us in a pickle, made plenty of recommendations and bookings for us and we never had to wait too long for the shuttle. Well done guys!"
February half-term brought record snowfall and with it, significant challenges. Avalanche risk and high winds closed lifts across our resorts, testing both guests and teams. However, our teams went above and beyond to turn potential disappointment into memorable experiences: hot soup, charcuterie and cheeseboards laid out in Bear Lodge when mountain lunches weren't possible; igloo-building followed by cosy movie sessions in the Cinema Room and in-chalet massage treatments from our friends at Massage Me.
Guests who stayed through the storm witnessed the mountains at their most spectacular. The reward for weathering these challenging February conditions? Exceptional March and April conditions, powder days into late season and spring skiing at its finest (as enjoyed by the UK team at the end of April in Val d'Isere).
Five months of delivering exceptional service across Val d'Isère, La Plagne, Les Arcs and Avoriaz. Five months of early mornings, long days, homemade afternoon teas, three-course dinners and genuinely caring for our guests. Five months of living in the mountains and creating the kind of friendships that last a lifetime.
To every chalet host, chef, nanny, driver, manager, logistics team member and everyone who made this season unforgettable - thank you. Your energy, dedication, and passion turned great ski holidays into exceptional ones. The guest reviews speak for themselves, but more than that, the memories you've created (for guests and each other) will last forever.
Thank you for trusting us with your ski holidays, for your loyalty, your feedback and for choosing VIP SKI year after year. Your reviews don't just help future guests, they remind our teams why they do what they do.
Every season brings something different. Winter 2025/26 brought record snow, genuine challenges and exceptional service. It brought La Plagne back into the VIP SKI family with resounding success. Most importantly, it brought together teams and guests who created memories that'll last far beyond the final lift closure.
Peak holiday weeks in Winter 2026/27 are already filling up quickly and the Graciosa is proving incredibly popular with both new and returning guests.
Recruitment for next season is now open and applications are coming in from young people ready to make their own mountain memories.
