Travelled to Montjola on my own, favour VIP as they have BA charter flights to all their resorts which is a bonus. On arriving at St Anton resort you stay on the coach whilst the staff ferry everyone up the hill in the Hotel minibus's , which only take a couple of minutes. Hot and cold food reception was laid out for our arrival with the staff tagging our bags and taking outside our rooms, all done whilst enjoying a welcome drink and information on the hotel and area. The hotel is in a great quiet location, either a 10 minute walk down the hill or the minibus drop you in 2 minutes, which they do every morning from 8.0am. The rooms are spacious with a flat screen tv and very comfortable beds and no outside noise from late night partying. At the end of the days skiing you stand by the drop off point and the minibus's ferry everyone back to the hotel between 4-6pm, enough time for a few apres ski beers in town. After a days skiing there is outside hot tub, sauna and steam room on the 5th floor, although only small rooms they are more than adequate to ease the tired muscles. The serious part of the day starts in the evening, l sat each night with two other solo travellers and we all agreed that the food each night was superb, probably the best ski hotel food l have ever experienced. On one evening after service the two chefs came out, the guests stood and applauded them. You are allocated your chosen time to eat and called to your table whilst having pre dinner drinks in the lounge. You choose the menu each night for the following day, you often want more than one of the choices as the menu's are so good. On top of that there is a choice of three white and three red wines all of a very good quality, the staff replenishing at every opportunity. With a cooked breakfast everyday if you wish, freshly baked cakes with tea and coffee at 4pm and a fantastic dinner all delivered by the friendliest staff you'll ever meet it all makes for an excellent holiday, thank you VIP.

  • Great Holiday, Just a Few Things Need Sorting...

    Olly Barrett 31 Jan 2017

I have to say from the outset that, despite a few 'niggles' with the accommodation, the 6 of us had a fantastic holiday... The negatives... Firstly, the light sensor in the chalet entrance had a life of it's own! It would sometimes work correctly but most of the time didn't function at all. This meant that we had to use the 'torch' on our iPhones to negotiate the stairs at night; moreover, the entrance light would often come on and stay on all night, disturbing those sleeping adjacent to the entrance hall... Secondly, the smoke detectors were inadequate for a building of this size, particularly considering it had a large open fire and a big kitchen. Having narrowly escaped in the middle of the night from a burning chalet in Chamonix, which had no fire alarms, I would suggest this needs urgent attention... The boot heaters in the boot room didn't work the whole time we were there, the were reported as not working but never fixed... The chimney/flue on the open fire needs attention, it was fine if the weather was calm outside but in the presence of any wind the lounge would rapidly fill with smoke. Provision of an extraction fan might do the job, as it stands it became pretty unpleasant... During the transfer we were separated from our bags in the morning as they were put onto the main transfer coach ahead of us, how are we supposed to declare to the check-in staff at a Geneva Airport that we have not left our bags unattended and that nothing could have been placed in them? No more complaints, now the good stuff... The chalet staff, Emma and Georgia, were simply outstanding... nothing was too much trouble, they were super polite and courteous and the food they produced was stunning... I've stayed in catered chalets many times and the catering here totally eclipsed my previous experiences... The accommodation was kept immaculately clean... Moreover, the chalet was well-appointed, comfortable, relaxing and reasonably close to the slopes... Additionally, the timings of transfers and the way VIP SKI conducted themselves during the transits was excellent... just the handling of luggage needs reviewing... Please take any criticisms in this review constructively, if they were sorted then I would have given 5 stars... Overall, it was a fabulous ski holiday, great value for money and I would have no hesitation in booking again with VIP SKI...!!!

I can not explain in words how crisp the care was that we were given by VIP Ski, from booking until the farewell at the airport. ALL of the staff are well trained, courteous and always kept a smile on their faces. Nothing was too much trouble. I would like to thank Sam (the on site manager) for obliging us, including our two year old son and the strange demands we had. You run a tight ship there and I take my hat off to you. We did not book childcare prior to arriving for various reasons, but just fell in love with Millie who had our very precious son for three mornings due to Sam squeezing the care in for us as there was a little availability. I do not think William wanted to leave her by the end. Thank you Millie, and William loved his egg hunts. Also, Poppy was just fantastic too. We have only been back 24 hours and booked up already. Sorry to all of the people not mentioned, you are all such a good team. That kitchen needs an award too!!! Every single course of food we ate was beautiful and we actually bored ourselves in sending compliments to the chef half way through the week. I have skied a huge amount through The Alps over the years and wont go elsewhere now. See you next year.

  • absolutely superb!

Superb! This year we were a group of 11 plus a Toddler and Infant, Stephan and Emily could not have been more helpful and friendly! The chalet was stunning, beautifully warm and cosy and the food was excellent, This is a truly great group of Chalet's made even better by the warm, friendly and personal service. Once again we made use of the Nanny service and requested Cassie as she did such a great job last year, This year was no different excellent service and was great with our son, she was so helpful and nothing was ever to much trouble, Will definitely be requesting her again next year. The only slight disappointment would of been the snow, it got a little dirty towards the bottom of the slop, However i can hardly hold VIP responsible for this. One other problem i came across was the motion sensor lights in the hallway, I can understand why they are there for cost saving purposes however on more than one occasion the lights went out on me while i was halfway up the stairs making it pitch black, on one occasion i was holding my son.

Returning to VIP for our family get together holiday and once again we were delighted. Chalet lovely, tiny but lovely - we were expecting that though, so perfectly happy. Jenny was great, once again VIP hosting, shuttles, resort manager and everyone went the extra mile to ensure all our needs were met - we even had the best week of snow of the season so far!

  • Bellacima

Firstly we enjoyed our time at Bellacima very much. The Chalet is beautiful - we had a lovely bedroom with more space than I have ever had on a skiing holiday. The hot tube was great and used every day. The swimming tank was a little more challenging to operate and the sauna door didn't fit so was effectively not operational. The pool table and cinema were quirky additions but largely superfluous to requirement. The ski and boot storage was good with a heated floor in the garage. Our chalet hosts were delightful and tried hard. They were always cheerful and polite. It might have been nice if they had had some time to sit down and chat a little more and give us any news about what was on in the resort or even the weather for the day and a comment on the snow conditions. It did appear that they were under pressure to organise everything in the time they had been allocated and there were times when things were missed or forgotten. Having someone around at tea time would have helped. The food was on the whole good although the portions were small. While this suited me for energetic youngsters it would not have been enough. Breakfast worked well although the morning cups of tea were not often ready at the appointed time. Transport to and back from the slopes was mostly fine although there were some delays the first couple of days which was a little frustrating. The drivers however were all chatty informative and very helpful. The problem with our kettle took a couple of days to resolve which was a bit of a worry as it kept tripping all the kitchen sockets and switching off the fridge and the wifi - and we shouldn't really have needed to find the trip switch. Minor irritations and problems were frustrating but ultimately we had a good weeks skiing and enjoyed the resort and the chalet very much - so thanks

Just returned from a fantastic holiday in Lech staying at the Hotel Theodul. First time we have used VIP ski and will definitely recommend them to family and friends. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was amazing. Lovely spa. Little things like unloading bags from the coach and leaving them outside your room make all the difference!! Well done VIP ski. Great holiday.

  • A truly VIP experience

I had to alter my holiday dates at short notice due to ill health and the VIP staff were more than helpful in reorganising things. We had a 6 person chalet in Aspen lodge and loved the accommodation with ample space, very comfortable sofas to relax in at the end of the day and to top it off a private hot tub on the balcony. Our chalet maid Charity presented us with superb food every day despite having a couple of fussy eaters in the group, my wife even pestered her for the recipes. The wine upgrades are very reasonable and varied or the included house wine and beer is more than acceptable. Lucky we were blessed with fresh snow and a perfect blue sky week so had the perfect holiday.

  • A week at a VIP Chalet

    janet dutton 30 Jan 2017

    Stayed Jan 2017

Most importantly there was some snow which was very important to us. The chalet was big and furnished very nicely. There was an issue with the kettle blowing a circuit every time it was switched on which was definitely a hazard and took three days to replace. There were features in the chalet which were nice but we did not use as they were not of interest to us i.e. cinema or jacuzzi. I was very excited abut the endless pool but in fact it was a large jacuzzi so I tried it once and you could not really swim in it. I went to the local pool instead. We drink sparingly so the wine provided was a nice to have. We did have to ask, most evenings, for sparkling water instead of wine, it would have been nice to get this on the table automatically. The food was more about presentation than composition or quantity. My very strong advice would be to increase the quantities by offering more vegetables with the main course on a help yourself basis. This is a healthy way to 're fuel' after a hard days skiing. As a vegetarian, half a grilled pepper for a starter and a few mushrooms with a light portion of veggies was not enough after nearly 7 hours of hard skiing. My whole meal had zero protein in it which is poor nutritional management or food planning. I was rather hoping for a robust cheese course but the portions were very tiny and I was nervous of looking greedy as there really was not enough to go around 8 people. On other evenings there was protein such as tofu which was really well cooked and presented and gratefully received. Please look carefully at the veggie menu to ensure there is at least 30gms of protein on the plate per person per meal. The staff were delightful and helpful but we saw very little of them as they remained firmly in the background. The transport was a little hit and miss. We were firmly told to pick a time slot for collection in the morning. We did and were on time. The bus was not on time until Wednesday. The picks ups were fine for us but once guest waited 40 mins to be picked up from the centre of town. For a premium chalet this should be spot on every day.

We take all feedback very seriously and am sorry to read of your disappointment with certain levels of service provided during your stay with us. All feedback is relayed back to the Resort Manager and chalet team in an appropriate and constructive manner. We also have staff trainers on hand to offer additional training and support to the resort team to elevate service levels. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
