    Chalet is brilliant. Just needs sky sports & BT sports. Still hate all Americans except for Hilary. Staff were calm and collected at all times great food , very freindly well laid out chalet with every facility you could ever need for a relaxing time after a hard days snowboarding, Great friendly hosts. Great hosts....Food good, chalet great.... Cinema chairs not all working.

  • Great holiday but a couple of bits that need VIP's attention to be 5 star

    All in all we had a really great week in Alp D'Huez. Chalet Manoir was lovely, cosy spacious and comfortable and the location was spot on literally a minute walk to the main lifts and a 5 minute stroll into town. Our room was big and had a great view. We made full use of the hot tub and sauna which was lovely after a hard day on the slopes. The staff in resort were great as were the hosts. Tea in bed was a nice touch (a biscuit would be even better) as was the pre departure call and the water and chocolate on the bus. Resort wise Alp D'Huez was perfect for us with mixed skiing ability. Apres was fun at Folie but a bit bland in town but that's not what we were there for. Found some good spots for lunch (plage de neige was the best) and the spicy fondue at lounge 21 on the hosts night off was amazing! However we do feel that VIP fell short of a truly VIP experience on two counts. We had 2 twin beds pushed together made up as a double which kept coming apart and leaving a gap this could have been sorted easily with some cable ties round the legs to fix them together and a mattress topper (I'm sure we're not the only couple that like to snuggle up in bed). Also the pillows were awful cheap lumpy feather things and the bed linen wasn't too great either. The food was not really to the standard that we expected. This is by no means a reflection on the hosts cooking ability as everything we had was cooked well. But the menu was pretty basic (cheap even) and the portions were small especially the cheese board. We are pretty foodie so maybe we have high expectations but that's how it is presented on the website and what we got certainly didn't look like the video.

    Lovely week at VIP Club Aspen. Helpful, friendly amazing staff, delicious meals, canapés and champagne every night. Lots of added extras, hot tubs, pool table skis brought to the slopes and a cup of tea in bed every day! A truly wonderful week!

    Tim. We had a great week in Chalet Kaila. We were a family of 13, including 3 infants. Rob & Sam did a fantastic job looking after us. The food was delicious & Sam catered for one of our party who is lactose intolerant. The Chalet is very comfortable with an ideal location - a stone's throw away from the Super Morzine lift. We also very much enjoyed our skiing !

    N has already reviewed very positively our experience in the chalet. All 6 of us for part Chrissie was probably the best chalet host that we can ever remember, she was very hard-working, an excellent cook, the kitchen was always immaculately clean and she was never late for breakfast which she cooked superbly (as she did with the evening meal also). it needs to be said however that the chalet suffers from a lot of banging noises (they sounded like somebody in heavy ski boots thumping around the building) and also late night crashing of bottles (presumably from the next door bar/restaurant). This occurred mainly between 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. and was loud enough to wake us up. The transfer back to Geneva at around departing around 11 AM a.m. was great and the short transfer on a very comfortable coach was most enjoyable. However the plane operated by Are Lingus was approximately 1 1/2 hours late taking off, the excuse was a delay in a takeoff slot from Gatwick, we found this hard to believe and are fairly confident that Are Lingus failed to meet their original turnaround time (which was probably too short), sold that slot and had to wait for another slot. We carefully monitored arrivals from Gatwick into Geneva, no other arrivals were delayed. I don't think we were told the truth about why they were late and I think that VIP need to take this matter up with Are Lingus and obtain compensation. This delay marred an otherwise excellent holiday.

  • Just Perfect!

    Our 3rd year at Altitude lodge and could not fault it in any way - I think every year we have returned it has got better. All the staff were AMAZING and so personable! There were so many of us and our kids in the lodge and they addressed each of us by our name, even the children. They really couldn't do enough for us! Particular mention to Jess, Helen, Tom and Lottie! The loveliest team in the alps if you ask me :) Also special thanks to the nannies - they did a wonderful job and our kids had a magical holiday! Felt so at ease leaving them in such capable hands! Personal thanks to Jenny - who was on loan for a week from Valdi'sere. She was fabulous. Food and wine was absolutely outstanding and we are so sad to be home :( Keep up the great work guys!! Only negative thing would be the flight home as it was delayed and has been every year we have been at Altitude lodge. I know it's a chartered flight by VIP - so not sure if you could raise this with the airline as when you have little ones - delays are never great and just out a little negative on what had been a perfect week! Thanks :)

    You have all been bloody brilliant. From the moment we got here everyone has been helpful and just great. The food in particular has been first class. George needs a special mention as the food has been great and nothing has been too much trouble. Thank you, you've been fantastic. We have had an amazing holiday and can't fault a thing.   • Fantastic week in Morzine

    We have just returned from a great ski week in Morzine, staying in Chalet Kenai. Lucinda was great host and excellent chef, This was our third stay with VIP in Morzine, the previous 2 stays were great experiences all round but this stay was 1st class. From the start of our booking to the very last few minutes of our holiday the VIP crew were very attentive and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you. We would definitely stay with VIP again.

    We had the most wondeful week at La Petite Ferme made even more prerfect by our fab hosts Georgia & Emma. The food was delicious and their company and sense of humuour really added to our fantastic holiday in Val whilst they maintained the perfect level of proffessionalism throughout. It is my second time booking with VIP and i will certainly be booking another trip next year - the Chalet hosts of 2018 have big shoes to fill. Thank you so much x P.s. we miss cocoriccos already. xx
