Clearly we think we're great, why come to work otherwise. But what do our customers say? We know that web sites are littered with anonymous out of date testimonials that it’s difficult to trust, but we're displaying comments written by our current and recent guests live, here on our web site. We're laying it bare, warts and all, and with the name of the writer attached. It’s not easy to look at yourself objectively, so don’t listen to us, listen to our guests.

The chalet was clean and comfortable. The chalet staff were very friendly and knowledge, they couldn't do enough to help. I have been taking package ski holidays for over 20 years and VIP ski offered the best service I have experienced during this time. I have never considered brand loyalty when booking a ski holiday before, price has been the most important, but I would immediately look to book another holiday with VIP ski. Really good job.

  • Third Year In A Row!

Just returned from 3rd annual trip at the Montjola Hotel with the Daily Telegraph Ski & Snowboard magazine who teamed up with VIP Ski. I love this place and the whole experience is hard to beat. The hotel itself is immaculate, the Staff are fantastic, the service they provide is excellent! Meals are lovely and the choice is sure to please. Being my third year and quite a few others third year it's great to catch up with people who have become good friends. This coupled with the skiing and apres skiing experience with Graham Bell makes a holiday that is second to none!

  • Constructive Comments

Overall, we had a great holiday and very much enjoyed the skiing and situation offered by our accommodation. These comments are therefore offered in the spirit of continuous improvement and observations compared to a previous holiday with the company at Val-d’sere. Our hosts (Charles and Jacob) were thoroughly nice young men but in our view not particularly well trained, resourced or supported by their immediate management. Interaction was generally ‘client’ led and information requested rather than proffered. The initial briefing would have benefitted from being based on a structured, written plan. The chalet was clean and well equipped. As a group we would have preferred a ‘hot tub’ in preference to a sauna, and associated shower, which were not used. Compared with our previous experience, we would say that ‘cost cutting’ had dumbed down what could have been a 5 star experience to 4 star standard. This was most evident at meal offerings. (No baked beans, sausages or omelets offered during the week, nor fresh croissants on the staff day off.) Duck, sauces and pork are difficult to cook well unless properly prepared, timed and coordinated. The amount of blue cheese offered on a pear starter was all but absent and we have never seen a smaller round of black pudding on a plate– but the thought was there! We much appreciated the abundance of hot water, warmth, UK TV and good quality Internet connectivity. In addition the coordination for arrival and departure was excellent and worked like a charm. Recommendations for improvement: better training and supervision for young, inexperienced hosts by someone suitably qualified, knowledgeable and visible!

  • Great staff at resort

    Jane Tomlinson 20 Mar 2017

Our trip was really made by a fantastic team in-resort. Nothing was too much trouble for Mo - he was also great fun and a bl*oody good chef (I've done a pro course and was still impressed). He cooked absolutely everything from scratch - his sauces etc were fantastic and he specifically cooked for whatever we wanted (eg meats as in a restaurant). He really made the week, navigating everything from dietry requests to questions about ski boots. The chalet itself was what you would expect from an expensive trip (ie v v nice), but coming back to Mo's delicious food and high spirits made it all the more entertaining. The only point I would make is that I think that VIP should have a closer relationship with guests in advance of the trip. I work in branding and had no direct connection with VIP before the trip (which resulted in a date muddle up on our side). I understand that the VIP 'difference' is around 'personal connection' - ie calling the lead passenger in advance, but this does not help the rest of the group - all of whom are likely to have v busy lives. If this were sorted, I would definitely book again. It's expensive, but we had a brilliant time and, like I say, nothing was too much trouble for anyone we encountered at VIP. Thanks again, Janie x

  • A great week's skiing

We both thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in Haus Hochkar. It is modern, spacious and clean and the whole VIP set-up in St. Anton is excellent. The chalet host, Steve, was wonderful and everything just worked - lovely food, plentiful wine and every need taken care of. Somehow, VIP had managed to fill up the chalet with some great company, and that all helped to make it a memorable week.

We had a amazing holiday and it was great to catch up with old friends. I would also say the VIP team are all very personable, friendly, educated and chatty. My comment on the accommodation would be that its a little cramped, the lounge just doesn't really work due to the layout and uncomfortable sofas, if you want to relax and chat you need to shout across the room. We had 5 adults and 4 children and would definitely suggest 8 adults would be very chaotic. The actual building from the outside is in keeping with the rest of Avoriaz but inside its very tired and has it seems lots of groups of young individuals staying in the accommodation. The lobby smells constantly of smoke and looks more like budget accommodation than higher end, the lifts need refurbishing and the paint is also shabby, the entrance glass door was smashed one evening and not replaced. In contrast our actual apartment was well kept, clean, tidy and smart, I wouldn't say it was luxury but "nice", especially when you compare it to chalet Poudreuse where we have previously stayed on two occasions. The food being critical is trying too hard, we all stated it would be better to have less complex food but executed to a higher standard. The meats were often over done and croissants in the morning under done, why not use fresh baked croissants from the boulangerie, especially when the chalet host is visiting to pick up a french stick ? Jules and Milly our hosts were lovely people and were very professional. One last comment when booking a "higher end" agent i would really advise looking at the option on airline, Air Lingus was chosen and my brother and friends all stated that the service was awful, we have previously flown by Jet 2 again service very shoddy. I'm not looking for a private jet but i think as a first impression Air Lingus certainly doesn't do it for me ! If you would like to speak with me directly for more information feel free to contact me directly. Many Thanks Ashley Lyas

We had a great time at the lovely chalet Chablis and we're very well looked after by VIP Ski throughout. Special mention to the chalet staff Ellie as Andy and the nannies Sarah, Jenny and Becky were fantastic with the kids and gave us adults some great time to ski and relax - wine in the hot tub after kids bedtime was a particular highlight! We can highly recommend also upgrading to the platinum package - the concierge and driver service were extremely helpful. Out chef Jake was amazing and could not have done enough to accommodate our various dietary requirements - Fellous food and we've all come home considerably spoiled by the experience.
