Clearly we think we're great, why come to work otherwise. But what do our customers say? We know that web sites are littered with anonymous out of date testimonials that it’s difficult to trust, but we're displaying comments written by our current and recent guests live, here on our web site. We're laying it bare, warts and all, and with the name of the writer attached. It’s not easy to look at yourself objectively, so don’t listen to us, listen to our guests.

the Club was very comfortable but the service and food did not meet expectations . the mini bus used to take us up the mountain was very uncomfortable and probably unsafe for anyone tall as they could not sit facing forward with a seat belt on as the space was so restricted . The chalet staff were not properly informed about the resort e g they had no knowledge of the daily Val d'Isere radio piste condition/ weather reports , Nor was the concierge aware of the Classical Music festival taking place during our visit . The staff were very numerous but the attention to detail was poor. e g our bin was only emptied on a couple of occasions and I had to ask for it to be emptied; likewise the replacement of loo rolls. The food was good on some occasions but not consistently so. Plates were never hot which combined with very slow service made for a less than satisfactory result . No breakfast on the last morning was unacceptable ( we left at 7.30 am not crack of dawn) ; A bacon roll to carry on to the coach made with cold bacon cooked the night before does not do your company justice . The staff did not look as though they were enjoying themselves which was a shame.
I'm sorry to hear that the food and service during your stay did not meet expectations. Our catering manager will be providing further support to our chefs in order to avoid such issues in the future. I can only apologise for having let you down on this occasion and I do hope you will consider skiing with us again in the future. Paul Geddes - Area Operations Manager.
Overall our family had a great week’s holiday. Altitude Lodge is a lovely chalet with great staff and incredibly well situated. Chalet Managers Kris and Jamie, along with chef Jamie were incredibly friendly and approachable and did all they could to make sure our trip was as enjoyable and relaxing as possible. Some of our party suffered serious injuries but the staff went out of their way to help in any way that they could. The only slightly negative elements were with the support staff; the bedroom was not always tidied as well as we would have expected and the children’s toys not always staged in to funny positions as we were led to expect they would be and the children excitedly ran up the stairs to see each evening; service was sometimes poor at breakfast with orders taken incorrectly or not received at all; and the occasional sigh and being given the impression that we were being a burden when making a small request. On a final note we also used the nanny services with our children being looked after by Billie. Our children loved spending time with her, doing the variety of things that she organised. But she also knew when it was best that they had some “down time” and organised some quieter, more restful activities for them to do. Billie fitted-in around us and helped to ensure that we all enjoyed our holiday as much as we could. Overall we were very happy with our stay and hope to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Altitude Lodge to others.
