Our experience overall was 5*. Flights and transfer went smoothly and we arrived to a warm welcome from Charlotte and Rory. Chalet Chablis was comfortable and the teenagers loved the pool and jacuzzi after skiing. Charlotte and Rory were amazing hosts, very accommodating. They went out of their way to provide breakfast at a time suitable for us daily, they altered parts of the menu to suit our family and even put a Christmas tree up early on request. They were always attentive and genuine in their desire to make this a great week. We loved the concierge service and all the drivers were excellent. Very friendly and helpful. A few areas of improvement would be: The chalet is far too hot upstairs making it very uncomfortable to sleep without the windows open. The constant change in temperature makes it hard to sleep well. An up to date smart tv would be a necessity in today's world so we could have access to Netflix etc and watch our go pro. This is quite a basic ask these days. The fixed menu is not to everyone's liking and a few evenings we had to request alternatives which Rory and Charlotte did their best to accommodate. It was also slightly annoying to have next door constantly come in to borrow ingredients during our evening or morning when we were trying to have a relaxing communal time. We do want to emphasise that Rory and Charlotte were exceptional hosts and a delight to get to know. They are naturals with people and sincere. Thank you for making our week so enjoyable.

We were well looked after by our chalet host, Jordan, who seemed to be always cooking something special for us or our children. The chalet was cosy with an open fire and plenty of space and the Christmas tree was a nice touch! The location is very central for the Morzine ski lifts, and catching the bus to Avoriaz, as well as being in the heart of town for the shops and restaurants, Although the ski area in Morzine was mainly closed this week, we had fantastic conditions in Avoriaz and were offered transfers to the slopes by the VIP team. We would definitely return....
The apartment was just what we were expecting, perfect location for children and the closeness of the slopes and ski school. Equipment hire and storage was fab. Ben and Joel looked after us impeccably, the food was delicious and well cooked and served on time. They were always friendly and helpful, and kind towards the children, it was like having a friend in the house. Any problems were dealt with efficiently. The after skiing high tea and cakes were so welcome and always tasty and loved by the children and adults alike. Ben and Joel, went above and beyond to feed the children their supper, serving yummy children's classics, home made fish fingers and burgers, cottage pie etc. We think that for a holiday with young children a washing service should be on offer, though when we had washing they were very happy to do this. The baby bath matts did not appear, but I know the boys did chase them so not their fault. It's a shame the Internet did not work through out the apartment, we did expect it to be in all the bedrooms.

There were many aspects to the holiday which were 4-5 star. Our chalet host was fantastic. The food was delicious and it could not really have been any better. It was lovely to come home to lovely food and also to start the day with a great breakfast. Izzy worked exceptionally hard and did a wonderful job. There were a few hiccups which could be improved which brought the rating down. We were informed that our sons ski lessons was cancelled on the Thursday before travel on the Sunday. We were told we would be called the following day with further information on other lessons available. Unfortunately we did not hear anything for two days so this had to be chased with central office who promised us it would be sorted by the end of the day but we still didn't hear anything. We were then told to book online the Saturday before travel but due to close proximity to the travel time the link did not work. We were assured the lessons would be booked on the Sunday morning. When we arrived in Geneva we were informed the lessons still were not booked. They were eventually sorted before arrival in our chalet. It would have been nice to have had this sorted earlier and cannot really understand why the process took so long and the lack of communication. We missed the first hour of our sons first ski lesson as were not informed the lesson was booked at the top of a chair lift or that he was booked with ESF avoriaz rather than Morzine and the first hour of our private lesson. We were very grateful for the transfer service to Avoriaz lift however the 7.45 pick up offered for the third day in a row after doing our fair share of two early starts rather than the later 8.15 start also caused some problems. We were informed this was because of other people's preferences however we were not asked for ours. Waiting over an hour at that time in the morning for a ski lesson with a four year old is not ideal. Thankfully a further vehicle was found and this was avoided. We thought people's attitude was good and reps did try but inexperience/training did let the side down somewhat.

We have stayed with VIP in Val D'Isere many times and this was by far the best holiday we've ever had. From the office staff and booking team, from the superb hosts to the excellent chefs, from the welcome at Machester to the coach host and the front desk staff, the whole team seemed much more professional and upbeat this year. Are you paying them more or are they just a great bunch of young people??? We would have been so proud if one of our children had been any one of these fabulous people. Well done everyone. Top chalet, top food, top company, top resort. Skiing holidays don't come much better than this. Thank you from all 16 of us !!!
