Testimonials

Clearly we think we're great, why come to work otherwise. But what do our customers say? We know that web sites are littered with anonymous out of date testimonials that it’s difficult to trust, but we're displaying comments written by our current and recent guests live, here on our web site. We're laying it bare, warts and all, and with the name of the writer attached. It’s not easy to look at yourself objectively, so don’t listen to us, listen to our guests.

Sean was a superb cook, great for local recommendations and also very patient with a mixed group. He's a gem. The chalet was a great location and we had a fab holiday.

  • Amazing Holiday!

We have had an amazing week in Morzine with Josie taking care of us in chalet Kenai, she looked after us so well, really accommodating to a couple of fussy eaters in our group...! Delicious home cooked meals every evening and lovely homemade cakes and biscuits each afternoon. One of our sons celebrated his 18th birthday whilst we were here, Josie made us a gorgeous cake and pointed us in the right direction for some fab apres ski! La Folie Douce was amazing. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend VIP ski, we stayed in Altitude Lodge, Les Gets last year and were worried that this year wouldn't match up, but once again all of the staff have been lovely and can't do enough for you, overall another truly memorable week.

  • Luxury ski holiday

Fantastic experience with wonderful food and superb chalet hosts who were very patient with a crazy group of guests! The chalet was uncomfortably hot at times, particularly at night, however an open window solved that problem. Some other feedback included the fact that there wasn't enough comfy seating for all of us, some had to use the dining chairs. Also it would be more convenient to have more seating in the hall for all of us to put our ski boots on. However, it was amazing to come home from a long day of skiing to homemade cakes everyday! The chalet hosts provided everything we needed and responded to any additional requests such as soft drinks for the tea totallers. The abundance of wine was greatly appreciated by everyone else though! It was very good to have contact between VIP and us beforehand as it enabled beds and dietary requirements to be sorted well in advance. Being able to ski in and out was fab and the chalet was impeccably clean. Overall we were well fed and well taken care of and we'd definitely recommend the experience.

  • Aspen redwood review

Firstly I would like to point out that our chalet host, Sean and all the staff were very accommodating. If we asked for something they would do his best to get it. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. However, we booked our holiday based on the pictures and video on the VIP ski website and it did not meet our expectations. We expected VIP to be a cut above the other ski operators but I would rate the chalet as more of a 4 star chalet instead of a 5 star. The pictures and the video are very well done but the chalet is a little tired looking. There is no chef as you would be made to believe. The food Sean created was very good, I enjoyed every meal but not as the pictures in the video. The resort is excellent. Lots to do, lovely shops and restaurants to choose from. Overall we enjoyed our holiday but the accommodation let it down. Small bedrooms and tired bathroom and kitchen.

Jack and Giles have undoubtedly been the best chalet hosts I have ever had the pleasure of meeting over the past 20 years of chalet holidays. They have been attentive, caring and extremely amusing. They have made my week here with VIP and I couldn't thank them anymore. Jacks humour and good looks combined with Giles exceptional cooking skills make them the perfect team to tackle any task... From scrubbing bogs to moving logs they never fail to Impress!!! VIP you were great... Jack and Giles you were even better!!!!

  • Good location, average service

Excellent resort. Good chalet which provided excellent famiily facilities with good catering and location. although some things could be improved - access to slopes via steps was only cleared only Wednesday so three days of risky climbing to get to slopes. Two occasions staff (one member) heard swearing very loudly at late hours after drink when children and guests still awake.. Food quality variable, sometimes excellent. Others very average.previous VIP locations preferred for service all round

  • Lovely break with a great bunch of friends

First time in Val D'Isere. Loved the resort and there's lots of choice if ski runs although probably more intermediate to difficult. The chalet was lovely and suited our group very well. The pool facility was a real bonus. The ski in, ski out is a little debatable - certainly from a ski in perspective as the run in is difficult and not one of choice however there are many free shuttle buses running all the time. The staff were really friendly and the food was really good. I would say that I found it difficult to chose my menu choice for the week though and would have preferred to do it on the day or for a couple of days. The view from the terrace is love,y and the hot tubs are well maintained. Cleanliness is good and Sky Sports is good. Previously we've had tea making facilities and a TV in our room so I guess that would have been nice but morning drinks are good albeit sometimes a little luke warm. I enjoyed our stat and the team work well together. I think it would have been really good for the Manager to have introduced herself properly at the beginning of the week as we never saw her so if there were any niggles then it wasn't easy just mentioning things. Breakfast was fab too. All in all a great holiday and I would recommend this chalet.

Teething problems with the new chalet eg heating not working in all rooms, lack of mirrors in family room, no where to hang small towels. Fire was very smoky which put us off lighting it which meant we were cold at times. No towel in upstairs cloakroom. General cleaning of chalet was lacking. Chalet was in a great position for access to slopes and village. Our chalet hosts, Freddie and Liv were excellent and couldn't do more for us.
