Considering the cost of the holiday I feel a number of improvements could be made. Firstly I don't think the quality of food is up to scratch, serving fish in the alps is a bad idea and the seabream we had was not good at all. Having such small quantities of shampoo and shower gel were quickly used and no effort by the hosts to use initiative to replace them was made. I would also say that our male host wasn't overly friendly and could have made more of an effort. However any queries we had were quicky answered. I would say your biggest credit is the drivers who are incredibly friendly and helpful.

My family and I were fortunate enough to book Chalet Tortin over half term. Luckily for us (if not VIP!) we had the three bedroom chalet to ourselves. The chalet itself is superbly located 200m from the main lift and is extremely well appointed, all that and great food and wine and the usual VIP service. What made the difference however were the staff, only a small team in Verbier, but our Chalet Host Laura was wonderful, always a big beaming smile, nothing was too much trouble and she catered separately for our two children before serving our nightly feast. Rob the ski host, also went the extra mile, helping the kids with skis etc. and patiently guiding them even when they wanted to get those extra four runs in! and taking us to places us four valleys veterans hadn't been to before. All superbly marshalled by Will the resort manager. Well done guys a superb job all the more enjoyable as you seemed to enjoy it too!

This was our second year at Chalet Montfort. Our expectations were high having spent a great week there last year. We were not disappointed. Fleur is an excellent host, with a penchant for cooking and a very engaging personality. We have no doubt that she is destined for greater things. Rob proved to be very competent guide and took good care of me as he showed me the around the 4 valleys. It was good to see Will again, and we were pleased that he has progressed to Manager. Our room was warm and ideally sized as there was an abundance of storage space. The other guests were excellent company and all seemed to appreciate the access to facilities.....proximity of ski lifts, restaurants and ski hire shops was particularly good. An excellent week!

My wife and I stayed with our 11 and 9 year old children. We had two rooms on the top floor. The rooms were spacious, airy and very comfortable. The staff were professional helpful and friendly. The chalet is half way up the mountain so once the lifts close you are more or less in for the night which was fine for us as we have younger children. Whilst the chalet is very modern and has a new build feel about it , because it is not large it is still intimate. The dining area operates as a mountain restaurant during the day with a private lounge for chalet guests, and because of this the kitchen has a dedicated professional team. They offer a choice for evening meals and we found them flexible with additional requests. The food was excellent. The boot room is modern and warm and gives direct access to the piste with a 10 second easy as pie glide to the button lift. Overall a top venue.

VIP, Taiga Lodge, and especially our hosts Rob and Sam were absolutely fantastic! The transport, ski hire, lift passes etc. were all seamlessly arranged and we were delivered into the arms of Rob and Sam at Taiga with minimum faff, skis and lift passes awaited us, and our bags were brought up after we'd been shown to our rooms and given a cup of tea and some cake. The chalet itself is great; it's got a hot-tub, it's got a cinema (with sofas!) and most importantly it's got Rob and Sam. Our hosts were absolutely superb in every respect. The food was better than 9 out of 10 restaurants that I've eaten at, and the amount of care that went into every aspect of looking after us was stunning. The driver service was great for coming back from the slopes, real luxury. The only thing I could think of in criticism was that the bed was too firm for my liking. Overall we were very impressed with VIP and borderline-in-love-with our superlative hosts Rob and Sam (and Buddy)!

St Anton wonderful skiing, not for novices, and preventative safety is totally different from France so you need to have your wits about you. Snow was a little dissapointing after the first couple of days, but we did have endless hot sunshine as a balance. Hotel was great situation being out of town, but near enough to walk. Booking a large rowdy corporate group into a family hotel was not the brightest idea VIP have had, arriving back at 5 in the morning to vomit all over the hotel we felt sorry for the staff. Lots of the VIP touches are getting cost cut/reduced with every stay, beds were even cheaper and nastier than stay 2 weeks ago in Val d'Isere,other touches gone - mineral water in the room etc. However food was great, but Austrian breakfast would have been better. As always the VIP staff were a real credit, polite, friendly, helpful and good fun. In summary, we will return to St anton but will probably holiday once a year with VIP instead of twice, and will pick one of the chalets we have stayed in before with comfortable beds, regular size bathrooms and a sensible, not cramped layout.

Thanks to all - especially Poi and Alex for another great week with VIP at Alpe d'Huez. The Chalet is roomy, kitted out brilliantly, and is in a perfect location to get to ski school with kids. I was on my own with two young boys and we all had a great stress free break. We'll definitely be back!
