Clearly we think we're great, why come to work otherwise. But what do our customers say? We know that web sites are littered with anonymous out of date testimonials that it’s difficult to trust, but we're displaying comments written by our current and recent guests live, here on our web site. We're laying it bare, warts and all, and with the name of the writer attached. It’s not easy to look at yourself objectively, so don’t listen to us, listen to our guests.

  • Hawthorne lodge - Imy- day 2

A wake up with fresh coffee, tea or drink of your preference. Imy would provide this by beside or appreciate your privacy with a polite knock on your door and drinks outside the door, A great day out skiing following advise of imy of the slopes for your capability and food for your preferred pallet. A hard day on the slopes was greeted back to the chalet by freshly baked cakes, with home hade lemon curd for the cakes, so fresh and fluffy bake with coffee and tea of your choice. After a well desired shower, Downstairs for unlimited wine and beer to relieve the tension on the legs followed by an amazing 3 course dinner. Although there were allegories and food preferences all ate together and no one felt singled out. A wonderful evening to a wonderful full day on the slopes. Imy had a genuine interest in your day and stay to make sure your holiday was one to remember, roll on tomorrow!

We had a wonderful week week skiing with our 3 year old child in La Plagne. From the moment we were greeted at the airport in Grenoble to meeting our chalet hosts in Bourget it was quite obvious that this was going to be a great holiday. Charles and Chris were exceptional hosts and surprised everyone with their sophisticated backing skills. The Hummingbird ain't got nothing on these guys!!!! The Guinness cake was definitely the highlight (can we please have the recipe.) The meals were well prepared and plentiful, I would say to at least a very decent restaurant quality and what was nice was age appropriate meals for the children. What made the holiday all the more enjoyable was the excellent care of the VIP nanny Sarah who took excellent care of our son. This allowed to relax and enjoy the stay all the more. I would definitely be happy to go on another VIP adventure next year. Thank you everyone at VIP:)

We had a wonderful holiday & met some really nice people. I would definitely recommend doing the ski guiding days. Sam & Callum where both excellent & we got to see the best bits of St Anton & the surrounding area, also finding very nice places to eat & drink! The staff in the hotel were all very nice & friendly the rooms were spot on. Pick ups & drop off's between village & hotel were well organised. The only areas that needed looking at were:- The hot top was not big enough for more than 4 people & often people were waiting to get in - the hot tub did not always work correctly! Meals were OK, but could be improved, some deserts in particular were strange to say the least! Breakfasts cooked option was very limited and small portions. Although the waitresses did their best , a bit more organisation is needed (maybe 1 waitress serves designated tables) I would definitely look to go back there.

Excellent ,but the Chalet hosts were invisible and did not appear to speak to each other let alone interact with guests unless spoken to and seemed to have little idea or knowledge of what was going on in the resort ,eg did not know of the Shove Tuesday celebration / why the lights on the Face were on randomly some evenings ,nor did they take any interest in the weather or appear to have any idea what it might do . The food was far from outstanding , rather average compared to my previous experiance travelling with VIP but the wine was of good quality and kept coming ! I liked Perrier as an option a nice touch for those of us who like sparkling water I n all we had a great holiday To help you improve the person who met the Bus at ther airport was uncommunicative also ,failing to introduce himself or tell us which route we would take , mention weather /snow conditions or that he would be coming round to check for ski pass /ski hire etc . You need to think about what the " punters " might want to know and tell them . The arrangments for ski hire were a little un co ordinated but the transport did work, the ski shop was chaotic with out any person fron VIP anywhere in sight which could have been reassuring for a rather less experianced client I hope these comments are helpful . Another think ,the lighting particularly in the bedrooms could be brighter as it was difficult to read and I personnally woyuld have prefered a bar of soap rather than liquid soap in a dispenser

  • Alys was great

Alys did an excellent job in looking after us and was a total natural in providing the service we'd expect - conscientious with a 'can do' attitude as well as a lovely and kind person. Chalet was kept immaculate and food great. Only negative (which I believe would be a management issue, not Alys' responsibility) was the food portions being too small. They were less than half the size experienced on previous holidays and I would have been embarrassed to serve those portions to any guest of mine (when I worked for Snowline 10 years ago, we served a whole duck breast per person, rather than half and being able to count less than 5 batons of carrot/parsnip and serve a dessert spoon of mash would have been considered laughable).

  • Chalet Hawthorne with imy

1st day Reception in Grenoble by rep as we walked through arrivals, very quick and direct, straight to our coach. There was no wait on the coach and very direct route. A comfort mid way stop was at a perfect time and then straight onto the val. During journey we were informed at all times of journey time, arranged ski hire, lift pass and all very pleasant. On arrival we were greeted by own our dedicated chalet host who personally took us to the chalet. Imy was so welcoming, bright and happy. Arrived in chalet with cakes, coffee and even the preferred sports channel to watch the dedicated game that day. Champagne! Canapés and the most welcoming first night dinner. The house wine was lovely with a good choice of two or wine list for even the most particular of choice. Imy made sure our every need was catered for food allergies, personal comforts, nothing was too much to accommodate for. Excellent start to a holiday.

Our 4th VIPSki holiday and as always everything A1 . From the moment we arrived at the airport with a VIPski rep there to meet us with a welcoming smile to being dropped off at the airport by helpful staff ...as with the whole holiday nothing was too much trouble! The staff really make it, they make you feel you are their first customers of the season even though we are not..key to any holiday. Standards were as high as with previous holidays if not higher. We can't fault the holiday in any way - well done VIPSki see you next year.

Our 2nd trip with VIP and first time in AlpD. Seb & Beth are superb hosts - a warm welcome, great food, nothing too much trouble & really helpful local knowledge, Particularly impressive was the way they brought a diverse group together with humour and maturity beyond their years! Expectations exceeded - wake up drinks a great idea & only one change - hair conditioner vs body lotion next time ( thanks for sharing yours Beth!)

  • Chalet Experience

    Clare Tatlock 09 Mar 2014

Every moment of the holiday was enjoyable. The staff were incredible as they had to wake up early to wake up the guests and still going for it in the evening. They never ate in front of us but I'm sure they had food before we got up and during the time we were away skiing. The chef always made wonderful food and it was always ready on time. The chalet itself is lovely and it is positioned in the best possible place (right next to the skiing (no buses)). The skiing was perfect and the weather was wonderful. Also the other guests made the holiday enjoyable. Overall it was the best I have ever experienced and it's way better than I could have ever imagined. Thank you so much to everyone but mostly the chalet staff and the people who made the chalet to enable easy skiing.
