We mixed old friends together with all their children (and some singles) in Chalet Pierre and had an A-MA-ZING time. The chalet itself is huge, with very homogeneous rooms on the ground floor, each with their own spacious bathrooms, and a good mix of doubles and twins on the top floor with balconies. The chalet's location right next to Morel chair lift meant a v easy start with older children, and for beginners or younger children, the VIP bus service worked brilliantly turning up every morning at 9am for a 9:15 class start. Matt, Ruby, Kate and Germaine worked seamlessly as a team, mixing a very personable nature with a highly professional and helpful work ethic. For example, they quickly clocked parental stress attempting to leave on time for lessons in the morning and would come downstairs to help with boots, gloves, helmets, getting skis and poles out from ski cupboard and boarding children onto the mini-bus. They were kind and fun with the children yet never let them get in the way of their many jobs! Germaine's cooking was fabulous, his flexibility on menus fantastic, the children's food was a perfect pitch of enticing yet healthy food. The things I would improve? The bus transfer could have been of a higher standard (toilet broken, shabby bus, poor shock-absorbers in the back of the bus), bathrooms I would add flannels - esp with children v handy for quick face washes or sticky fingers, I would have liked the office to remind me to book ski lessons and nanny hire around January before all lessons with NewGen ski school were fully booked. Generally though, the chalet and the team there made everything great and surpassed all our expectations. They even made the Easter Bunny appear for the children on Easter Sunday bearing chocolates...way and above the call of duty but oh so appreciated by little ones! Thank you Team Pierre! We are sure you will be a big success in whatever you turn your hand to next!
