Clearly we think we're great, why come to work otherwise. But what do our customers say? We know that web sites are littered with anonymous out of date testimonials that it’s difficult to trust, but we're displaying comments written by our current and recent guests live, here on our web site. We're laying it bare, warts and all, and with the name of the writer attached. It’s not easy to look at yourself objectively, so don’t listen to us, listen to our guests.

  • We keep coming back

Another fabulous week in Chalet Club Pierre. The weather was sunshine for most of the week, with fresh snow having fallen just before we arrived. The whole VIP is experience is very professional, from booking ( I must mention Jess & colleagues) & transfers to chalet hosting. Our hosts Kate, Becky, Alex and Chris gave us a warm welcome and were extremely helpful, nothing was too much effort for them. The food was exceptionally good, Chef Chris has certainly upped the game this year. The chalets are comfortable and Club Pierre is great for ski in/out. We had a great bunch of fellow guests, most of whom had been in the chalet with us last year This was our 20th stay with VIP and we will be booking next year's visit soon.

  • Cosy, compact, traditional wooden chalet - sleeps six

    Gary Betteridge 26 Jan 2016

Having now experienced VIP Ski for the third time, the previous two occasions in Val d'Isere, you get to know the format of what to expect. This particular chalet (Gmatchi) was booked only afew weeks in advance of our arrival as it appears that many others do the same, waiting to see how good ski conditions may be at the resort and also to grab a bargain - if there is such a thing in Zermatt! We decided to stay in a catered chalet as this option, flights included, works out a much cheaper option rather than staying B&B in a hotel as all food is included, cooked breakfast, afternoon cake, tea coffee etc and a 3-course dinner - all cooked and served by our chalet host, Lily. Her cooking skills were very evident as well as her good natured demeanour helped make our stay a very enjoyable experience, not always easy amongst a group of 6 males ranging in age from 27-59. There are 3 double bedrooms, on this occasion sharing 6 single beds - each with its own bathroom. Although this traditional wooden chalet, approximately 300 years old, it has contemporary fittings throughout. Molton Brown toiletries, good quality bed linen makes for a comfortable stay. We flew into Geneva from Gatwick as part of the deal, our luggage from this point onwards was transferred to a coach by our rep, stopping at Tasch afew miles outside of Zermatt to transfer to a train that completes the journey. From Geneva to our chalet in Zermatt, all luggage taking care of by VIP Ski.

  • A great holiday but below par compared with previous years.

This is hard to write as I think VIP are great but honest feedback is important. So: - The Chalet. Chablis is a gorgeous Chalet which is decorated to a high standard with a fabulous sitting area although the rooms are on the small side compared with Aspen once suitcases are in there. There is also a sauna, steam room and pool next door which is a nice added luxury. - Getting to know us. Adam and Lucy were actually pretty decent people, we just didn't know it for a couple of days. The balance between friendly vs over familiar can be hard to get right and I think they were trying to be unobtrusive but there wasn't much conversation from them. Once we made the effort, we really liked them - they were really down to earth and they did do things above and beyond such as picking up an order from the supermarket for us. - The food. Breakfast and the cakes were brilliant as was the way VIP accommodated for our gluten allergic friend. Dinner was more hit and miss. Our meal was very dry on the first night which we wanted to attribute to our delay but then another night the potatoes with our duck were raw and we were often waiting for 20 mins before starters were served...all things that could have been solved by our hosts arriving earlier. Saying that, the meal on Friday (mahi mahi) was enjoyed by all. - When things go wrong. It's easy to give glowing reviews when things go to plan. This week, our hot tub broke down on the first night and it couldn't be fixed. These things happen but I think some basic/better training needs to be given in how to deal with guests in this situation. I wasn't there when Will came round the first time but it sounds like he completely crumbled and left as quickly as possible. Joe came round to update me that a part had been ordered but may not solve the problem. We came to Chablis for the private hot tub (not the sauna, steam room or pool) so to say they would drive us to Aspen where we stayed previously was never going to be satisfactory. When asking what they could do for us to make up for this, Joe could offer nothing. I understand the area manager had approval for this kind of thing but the pool had broken 48 hours earlier so VIP should have been able offer something substantial to start with - we should not have to open negotiations. After a couple more calls with Joe on the Tuesday and one missed call into the chalet Wednesday morning, we never heard from him again in terms of compensation or hot tub repair updates. Finally, Will came round with departure information and instead of dealing with the situation head on, said something like 'I hope you've had a great week,' which gave my friend the chance to say 'the skiing's been great but I'd love to be in the hot tub right now.' He then laughed nervously and didn't really know what to say. Maybe he didn't know what had happened but he then didn't ask. The response felt amateur and should have been better. - Overall. Still really enjoyed the holiday but the raw/ late food and poor response to hot tub gate were definite areas to be improved.

  • A great family holiday in Morzine

    Nicola Tilling 25 Jan 2016

    Stayed Jan 2016

We had a wonderful week Morzine. Katie was excellent - she looked after our family of 6 very well and nothing was too much trouble. Her knowledge of the area and places to eat/drink was very helpful and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Katie is a great cook and we looked forward to our cooked breakfast, afternoon cake and dinner - and, of course, our morning tea delivered to the rooms! We've booked with VIP a number of times because it takes all the hard work out of the ski holiday. Because we were on a later flight, the hired boots and skis were delivered to the chalet. However, the boots weren't a great fit for the two people in the party who needed to hire - and one pair of boots had to be replaced. I know this isn't a VIP service but it might help knowing this for future guests hiring equipment. The Swiss Air flight was great apart from the fact we weren't able to pre-book our seats and as a result, we weren't sitting together on the flights. We followed the VIP instructions to pre-book but the message was that this was not available to us. It may be because VIP Ski is the booking agent and not us. It would have been nice to start and end the holiday together but as it was a short flight, it wasn't too much of an issue. Special touches like champagne on arrival, delivering luggage direct to the chalet and also sorting out ski passes and carte neige means that we can just relax as soon as we reach the resort. VIP Ski always deliver a great holiday experience. Thank you.

  • Dream Holiday!

    Rebecca Ayris 24 Jan 2016

I would just like to say a huge thank you to Alex, Johnny & Ant for looking after us and making sure we were well fed and stocked up on wine! I couldn't fault the staff who were incredibly kind and attentive or the Chalet that we stayed in which was out of this world! For my first ever skiing holiday it was everything I expected and more. The Chalet was incredible, from the hot tub & sauna to the fantastic location. The slopes and ski rental shop were just a stone’s throw away. For a beginner I thought the resort as a whole was perfect, I only stuck to the green slopes but there was a huge variety of green slopes to ski on. I have set the bar incredibly high for my future skiing holidays and I can't imagine not staying with VIP Ski on my next one! I would definitely come back to Alpe d'Huez again and try out the blue slopes. It's a perfect resort for beginners and families. Once again, thank you for making my holiday a memorable one and I hope to be back soon. (I tried to upload photos but every time I did the review would not submit!)

  • Wonderful holiday with fantastic staff

    Mike Williams 24 Jan 2016

Just returned from an exhausting but extremely enjoyable week in Val, our first with VIP, and I can confirm the previous high praise for the service to be expected is thoroughly justified. Katie and Scot did a remarkable job in keeping us fed, watered and pampered, with heavenly afternoon tea and sumptuous dinners throughout the week. The standard of the accommodation was high, and their professionalism and friendly helpfulness is a credit to the organisation. Furthermore the care and consideration shown by them, and the help and assistance provided by chalet manager Will, when my partner injured herself went way beyond the norm, and will be long remembered. Overall a wonderful holiday - despite the injury - in a superb accommodation run by excellent staff. You could not ask for more!

  • Great holiday

Fantastic hosts, brilliant Nanny (Cassie). They all couldn't have been more accommodating or helpful. 5 star service. Great food. A suggestion. Do as the hotels do to 'save the planet' and only change towels if they are on the floor? The sauna water tub isn't working, it leaks as it doesn't have the plastic liner. I'm sure this was the same in the club chalet last year? Everything really clean, just a great week Thanks
