There are 3 parts to this review.
1. Initially when we booked we had a very poor experience with the booking office as the information given in relation to flights and transfers was incorrect however Alastair rectified this and resolved very professionally. It didn't need to happen though.
2. Prior to the main review there is one point about the chalet that was a huge disappointment. Ski Chalet holidays are the idealistic cosy, traditional fire blazing in the living room whilst the weather outside is cold. However the fire although shown clearly in the brochure, pictures and words, and looking great it was not working and had been the case for a while. This is unacceptable and clearly the maintenance was not being done. I do not believe that it was the building as previous guests had, as shown in brochure, had had the fire lit. Although the weather was warmer we would have had it going and was a primary reason for booking the chalet.
3. Overall the holiday was great. We never go to France but came to Morzine last year and had a great holiday as it is untypical of a French resort, with many of the locals very friendly and welcoming, so we decided to come back.
The chalet experience was an excellent one and our expectations were exceeded. In part this was due to the fact that the photographs of both the chalet, its location and the service provided were definitely not presented at their best in the brochure or web site. The actual chalet with it vaulted ceilings was great and the location ideal. The chalet host Natalie was absolutely fantastic, nothing was too much trouble, her personality and attention to detail is something VIP is very lucky to have. I have skied and been on many other holidays of a high standard for over 30 years and never met anyone from a travel company with such a great attitude and a great ambassador for the company. She certainly helped make our holiday the great experience it has been. Well done Natlie and VIP. THANKS. We will certainly use you again.
