Useful information for a seamless stay

Welcome to Bear Lodge! We are delighted you have chosen VIP SKI and Les Arcs for your ski holiday this winter.

We have collated information here that you may need to know during your stay with us. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask a member of the team, or contact our Concierge team on WhatsApp, or call +33 (0) 765 185 256.  

We would love to see you in the bar on Sunday evening @ 6.45pm to welcome you to the hotel. We’ll tell you a little more about our service and the resort, to ensure your stay with us is seamless, and that you have an unforgettable holiday.

Our staff are here to help you make the most of your holiday, so should you require any assistance or advice please do not hesitate to contact any member of the VIP SKI team.

1. You will find our Concierge Team at reception from 8am to 8pm. You can WhatsApp or call them on 0033 765 18 52 56.
2. The bar is open 9.30am to 11pm and the team would be happy to help answer any queries you may have.
3. Our night porter is contactable on the Concierge number from midnight to 8am.
4. In an emergency please call the Resort Manager on 0033 765 18 52 91.

If you find any part of our service unsatisfactory then we would like to know straight away so we can do our best to resolve the situation.

No smoking 
We have a non-smoking policy within all of our properties but please feel free to smoke on the balconies where ashtrays can be provided. Please do bear in mind that cigarette butts pose a fire risk.

Maintenance and housekeeping 
Your rooms will be cleaned daily between 09:00 – 13:00. Towels will be changed in the week, usually Wednesday or Thursday. We can provide non-slip mats should you require one. If you have any maintenance, housekeeping needs or problems please do let our concierge team know so that we can deal with them as soon as possible.

Wi-Fi
We have free Wi-Fi access throughout the hotel. Network name: VIP SKI. Wi-Fi Key: online@vip

 French law states that it is illegal to download or make available copyrighted material (file sharing) unless you are using licensed services (such as iTunes). We ask that all guests refrain from any activities that may be in breach of local or international laws so that we can continue to offer internet access in the future. Your internet connection conforms to French logging regulations. This internet connection should be considered unsecured. 

Casting
Cast Netflix, Amazon Prime, and other apps from your phone to your TV. For full instructions please see inside your wardrobe door.

TV Channels

Special Occasions
If you or anyone in your party is celebrating a special occasion during your stay please do let our staff know so that we can ensure you have a memorable day.

Ski & boot room 
With 24/7 access and secure lockers in our ski room on floor 3, you can ski out directly onto the piste to make the most of your days on the slopes. Your unique code can be found on the inner door of the locker, ensuring your equipment is always safe.

Ski & snowboard equipment hire 
We have partnered with Ski Service Intersport to provide the ultimate equipment hire service, and preferential rates, right here in Bear Lodge. The ski shop can be found in the ski & boot room (floor 3) for your ski fitting head down there during these times:

Ski fitting: Sunday 9am to 7pm and Monday 8.30am to 11am

At the end of your stay either hand back to the in-house ski team or simply leave equipment in your locker. The ski shop will be open 2pm-7pm on Saturday for returning equipment.

Lift passes 
If you haven't pre-booked your lift pass please speak with the Concierge Team who can provide Classic, Essential and family passes right here in reception.

Ski guiding 
We have partnered with the ESF in Les Arcs to provide complimentary guiding on the first two days of your holiday when staying with us in Bear Lodge. If you haven’t already reserved a space but would like to join the group please ask Concierge to check availability and timings. This complimentary service is available to residents of Bear Lodge Hotel but those staying in Bear Lodge Suites can pay €30/session locally subject to availability.

 Ski Lessons
For those looking to brush up on ski or snowboarding skills, or for the complete beginner you can be in the safe hands of the wonderful ESF instructors. ESF offer private and group lessons morning and afternoon. The meeting point unless told otherwise is right outside Bear Lodge’s boot room on floor 3. It couldn’t be more convenient!Speak to the Concierge team to enquire about availability and pricing. 

Cinema
We have a fantastic selection of films shown weekly in the cosy cinema room on floor 3. Films typically for a younger audience will be shown at 17:00, with a later film being shown at 21:30. A schedule will be posted on the cinema door with details of upcoming films.

For guests staying in Bear Lodge;

Breakfast - located in the Restaurant on floor 4
A continental breakfast selection will be available between 07:30 – 09:30. Full cooked options are served between 08:00-09:00

Afternoon tea - located in the Bar on floor 1
Home baked cakes will be awaiting your return from the ski slopes each day from 16:00 – 17:30. There will also be a selection of tea and coffee, but the bar will be open for those who prefer a cold apres ski drink

Sunday pre-dinner drinks - located in the Bar on floor 1
To celebrate your arrival at the hotel and toast to a fantastic week skiing, champagne & canapes will be served in the bar on Sunday evenings.

Evening meal - located in the Restaurant on floor 4
Dinner will be served between 19:30 – 21:00.  Dinner comprises a three course meal with a choice of starter, main course and dessert, we ask that you make your selection whilst at breakfast to allow the chefs to prepare. A selection of wines are served throughout dinner until coffee is served and are available to purchase at the bar outside of this time.  If you require something a little more special a selection of fine wines are available to purchase from our wine list.

If you have any special dietary requirements, please advise a member of staff as soon as possible. In the restaurant tables will be allocated for each individual group. Please do let us know in the morning if you would like us to create a larger table for you to dine with other guests.

Children’s high tea - located in the Restaurant on floor 4
Staff will serve high tea for children under the age of 12 at 17:30 unless otherwise advised. If your child has any dietary requirements please advise a member of staff as soon as possible.

For guests staying in Bear Suites;

All meals are served in the comfort of your private chalet.

Breakfast
A continental breakfast selection will be available between 07:30 – 09:30 with cooked options available between 08.00 - 09.30. We have a huge variety of breakfast options including pancakes, smoothies and French toast.
 
Afternoon tea
Home baked cakes will be awaiting your return from the ski slopes each day from 16:00 – 18:00. There will also be fresh bread and a variety of jams, accompanied by hot chocolate, and a selection of tea and coffee.

Dinner
Dinner comprises a three course meal followed by a cheese, coffee and chocolates. Dinner will be served at 20.00, unless otherwise requested. If you have any special dietary requirements, please advise your Host as soon as possible. A selection of extremely palatable house wines are served throughout dinner until coffee is served. If you require something a little more special a selection of fine wines are available on our wine list for an additional charge.

We also serve pre-dinner Champagne and canapes on your first and last night with us in the chalet.

Children’s high tea
Your host will serve high tea for children under the age of 12 at 17:30 unless otherwise advised. If your child has any dietary requirements please advise a member of staff as soon as possible.
