Although the weather was not the best I have experienced in Meribel in January the chalet staff at Club Pierre were without doubt the best team I have had the pleasure of meeting. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble and the Chef Wayne was outstanding. As a result of the weather being rather changeable the VIP concierge service was very welcome and again the drivers could not have been more helpful. Overal despite the weather a brilliant holiday made so by the VIP staff.
Don't get me wrong, it's a lovely chalet in a great location and the staff were always pleasant but there were lots of things that they just didn't quite get right. It was day three before the cup of tea arrived in the morning; it was almost a game to see what would be missed off the breakfast table each morning; dinner was always just slightly disappointing - nothing really wrong, just little things e.g. no salt on the table. When you consider there are three staff, it was baffling to understand how they hadn't got it all sorted and in a regular groove. The other thing that I found annoying was the smell of cooking spread throughout the chalet which isn't great - a better extraction fan would be a good investment. I had a good time, but when you pay a premium price, you expect a premium product and it just wasn't quite there. Sorry.

We have coming to Pierre for at least 7 years, whilst we have always been happy with the chalet and the staff, this year Liv, Hattie, Sam and Wayne have been the best ever. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone of them. They made a very good holiday into a truly wonderful one
