8 adults, 7 kids under 6 should have been chaos- and it was, but in a brilliant way. The chalet is beautiful, the rooms spacious and the living areas roomy, light and beautifully finished. Great attention to detail- remote shutters ( kids loved the remotes!), usb charging points by the bed, games, iPad , cosy beds etc etc. Hot tub with sparkly lights on the ceiling above and great view of the pleney, large balcony, mezzanine floor with space to play or relax. The place easily absorbed our chaotic group and we never felt crowded.
The location is perfect- you can see the pleney and walk there in 2 minutes, and you’re also in the centre of town for apres, or child focussed fun.
The really impressive thing about the chalet was the staff. It’s fair to say the hosts Jack and Sophia made our holiday, together with the nannies Faye, Tara, Kate and Steph. Jack and Sophia were accommodating, friendly, and utterly brilliant with our chaotic group. They danced with the kids, let them “help” set the table, played peekaboo, never complained about the million requests for pancakes, the amount of toys on the floor, endless milk requests and so on. The kids classed them as friends. As for the adults, they catered to our every whim. From ordering port, to hard cheeses, changing menus - nothing was too much trouble, and it was all done with a smile, and great friendliness and chat. They were also great ( as were the nannies ) at recommending where to ski, where to apres and also booking lunches and meals out.
The nannies were also amazing- organising our kids is no easy task, and they did it with ease, and great care. Taking and collecting from lessons on the mountain, sledging, pizza making, arts and craft, face painting and so on. The kids loved it and built great friendships with the nannies .
It was a fab week- summed up by the demands on the way home from adults and kids of can we do the same next year- same chalet, same week, same chaos.
On a final note, we were very delayed coming back due to UK weather- VIP dealt with this exceptionally well, delaying our transfer limiting the horrible airport wait, and meaning we could enjoy the sunshine for one last morning in morzine.
Top week!
