We were VERY impressed with our first ski trip using VIP Ski. I have been going skiing for about 25 years now, used many companies, including Snow Chateaux, Total, Crystal and others. You guys were far and away the best experience. The team at the hotel lead by Angus, were fun, friendly, efficient and professional. And always on hand to assist. The hotel food was excellent, really a lot better than even other chalet hotels we have tried, never made the ordinary chalets. Favourite were the belly pork, the duck and the whole fried crispy baby squid - YUM!
Oh, and wine was good quality and flowed delightfully freely during dinner. The location for the slopes is great. And I loved the hotel, proper old fashioned traditional Austrian. Our room was huge and airy, with lovely big windows, overlooking the slopes in part, and a big bathroom and separate loo. The rooms were well cleaned and each day on our return everything was clean, tidy and cosy for us again. The duvets and pillows were feather and the beds very comfy indeed. We were as snug as bugs! The like-minded other travellers we met were also a great bunch and we had a lot of fun and laughs each evening at dinner, 3 lots of couples joined together so each night we were a table for 6. Using the BA flights was another delight, even though we had to drive down for Shropshire - it still worked, the timings, leg room on plane were again a pleasant surprise, as were the seamless transfers to and from the airport. Nice coaches, helpful staff, who even lugged all the cases and ski bags and loaded up the coach for us on the final morning - another rare treat. VIP SKi is a bit more expensive than some companies , but you really do get what you pay for. I would recommend VIP Ski most happily and we hope to travel with you again. The skiing in that part of Austria is really a BIT too challenging for us so the skiing was perhaps not QUITE to 100% successful..I spent a lot time clinging to the slopes like a terrified limpet! Could you please open up something similar in La Rosiere...the skiing there is soooooo easy! I tried to think if there was anything that could be improved on and could hardly think of a thing. But, after some thought...brown sugar to go with the coffee thats available from the lounge - that's about it unless you ever decided to reconfigure the ground floors, as maybe a bit of a bigger ski boot room would be good, with less in the way of the very gorgeous entrance halls...lovely but a little bit wasted in this environment. One for the future maybe. But really, just wanted to say thanks for a great time, and pats on the back all round to Angus and his lovely team.
