Clearly we think we're great, why come to work otherwise. But what do our customers say? We know that web sites are littered with anonymous out of date testimonials that it’s difficult to trust, but we're displaying comments written by our current and recent guests live, here on our web site. We're laying it bare, warts and all, and with the name of the writer attached. It’s not easy to look at yourself objectively, so don’t listen to us, listen to our guests.

  • Sunshine in Morzine

Overall very good in spite of the lack of snow. Chalet very clean and lots of space. My partner and I were the only ones there without toddlers, but weren't negatively affected by that. Chalet host was fantastic - very organised and efficient and took care of everything behind the scenes. Only skied the first day as partner had a fall and damaged his shoulder. Medical centre in town very accessible and Morzine as a whole is far better to wander around when not skiing in comparison to other resorts we have been to. Only issue is that with Morzine being a fairly low resort you run the risk of poor snow conditions - we had none the entire week and the highest temperatures on record for January (14C).

  • Great holiday

Tim runs a great team at the Montjola - nothing was too much trouble for the VIP staff. Excellent food, clean hotel, everything worked like clockwork. Two suggestions: 1. Menus would be even better if they included at least some local dishes (? how about Vienna Schnitzel) and much more fruit and veg, e.g. fruit salad for breakfast and dinner 2. The hotel suffers from booking big groups; we had two groups in the hotel this last week, both noisy and rather unaware that there were other guests in the hotel. We understand that there was a stag party the previous week. This is the only thing that would put us off returning. That said, the staff handled the situation very skillfully

  • Smoking Hot Holiday

Our 3rd VIP vacation in La Plagne. Pickup at airport and transfer went smoothly as did arrival into the Chalet. Great to see Tina again, running her ship tighter than ever. Absolutely loved the Lugano suite, spacious, modern and with everything you would need. Laura our host was polite and accommodating and she kept the chalet spotless all week. A couple of small gripes. Extractor hood in the kitchen not working which meant that we had to put up with oven and cooker fumes every day. My eyes were pretty sore by the end of the week. I am guessing that both hood and oven need a service as some of the food that came out of the oven was under or over-cooked (against Laura's best endeavours). The hanging lamp over the dining room table was so low that it obscured the faces of the people sitting opposite which was a mild irritation. Also, the four poster bed in the main bedroom made the room feel small and it creaked horribly when you roll over. On the bright side, Caitlin was amazing as she single-handedly looked after 4 boys all week. We are pretty laid back and didn't let these issues ruin our vacation, but it would be worth getting them resolved as other guests may not take such a sympathetic view. All in all a great family vacation and our 7th year in La Plagne. We would certainly consider coming back next year with VIP.

  • You'll be back!

Our family of five (and party of nineteen aged 2 - 50+) have just returned from a wonderful 4th consecutive New Year at Altitude Lodge. The location lures us back year after year (short transfer, great snow record), and the swanky accommodation, fabulous food, cool bar, hot tubs, sauna and family cinema/playroom packed with toys and games for the very young as well as three playstation areas, make this chalet hotel perfect for everyone. The nannies were fabulous in providing an action-packed, fun- filled day for the smalls, making for carefree parent skiing. Altitude Lodge is literally a minute's slide to the lift and British ski schools, and the doorstep skiing meant we could easily take our two year old out whenever the weather/her mood suited. The restaurant is open to the public for lunch (enjoy the chalet-envy of visitors), but the lounge area remains private for residents. Thank you to Freddie and all the staff who worked with care and competence to ensure that the VIP brand continues to deliver an exceptional holiday. We're off to Austria next year, so book It now before we change our mind!

Apologies Sharron, we had a bug on the website and your photo's didn't save! Sorry.

  • One of the best ski holidays!

Just returned from a week's ski-ing in Avoriaz. The brand new chalet is in a great location, ski in/out, close to ski schools and short walk from the little town, which has a great selection of restaurants, bars and shops including a small cinema, bowling alley and a kids aqua zone. The chalet has a very homely feel, the bedrooms, although compact, are clean and cosy. The lounge area is a good size and again has a very homely feel. Internet access was very reliable during our stay, any other problems mentioned by earlier guests have obviously ben rectified. Our chalet hosts, Jake and Susan made our holiday even more enjoyable, they really were superb hosts and worked extremely hard every day to ensure we were well looked after, they were fantastic with the children and made sure they were also entertained. The home cooked food was delicious, any special dietary requirements were catered for and the whole chalet is kept immaculate. We felt like one big family by the end of our holiday and were all very reluctant to leave, there were even some tears! I felt it was one of our best ski holidays to date and would highly recommend to anyone.

  • Great week at The Monjola

The team are great, they can't do enough for you to make your week as special as possible. Particular highs- the bus service, we were never kept waiting, the way the chef Jamie cooks red meat, his Beef Wellington was superb! Small improvements we think you could make- the cooked breakfast option is bit repetitive, same every day.

  • Fabulous week in Hawthorne Suite

We have had a lovely week in Val d'Isere. The Hawthorne suite in Aspen lodge is very comfortable & centrally located; and our chalet host, Nick, was excellent. We were spoilt with delicious 3-course meals and nothing was ever too much trouble for Nick or the VIP team. Nick was also fabulous with our two young children ... Our 2yr old especially loved helping him out in the chalet! Thanks also to our brilliant nanny; both our daughters adored Tyla and enjoyed all the creative activities she planned for them. A wonderful ski holiday!

  • Last minute ski deal

    Joanna Banks 12 Jan 2014

    Stayed Jan 2014

A friend and I booked this last minute and we were delighted. I suspect we have now been spoilt for any future trips! The chalet was lovely, spotlessly clean, l'occitane toiletries, wonderful 3 course dinners plus canopes on first and last evening. The staff from VIP were great especially our chalet host Puiy. They advised on resort, runs, organised lessons, lift passes etc. The jacuzzi and sauna kept us skiing/boarding with all our sore bits loosened up. We were lucky they had snow the day before we arrived and we then had blue skies and sunshine throughout our week. All round a wonderful trip, would definitely recommend VIP and alpe d'huez. Something for everyone....
