Clearly we think we're great, why come to work otherwise. But what do our customers say? We know that web sites are littered with anonymous out of date testimonials that it’s difficult to trust, but we're displaying comments written by our current and recent guests live, here on our web site. We're laying it bare, warts and all, and with the name of the writer attached. It’s not easy to look at yourself objectively, so don’t listen to us, listen to our guests.

A great week with Jenny looking after us very well. Super chalet, and food was excellent all week. Great location in centre with short walk to the ski lifts. A thoroughly enjoyable week with VIP. Andy T

Accommodation good, food excellent, chalet hosts helpful and really pleasant at all times. All went well and guest generally integrated well, that was until the last evening in resort when several of the guests decided that a good time was to get as enebriated as possible after skiing. Dinner was delayed for these guests who arrived back at the chalet very loud and raucous. At the meal table behaviour degenerated to the throwing of food at one another, and loud outbursts. When the chalet host tried to calm the situation they were confronted with rudeness and disrespect. Some of the other guests, including my wife and I, left the table and ate dinner in our rooms. Once the chalet hosts had left, the situation deteriorated with loud music and shouting, and table dancing. This continued until I personally had to confront the offending guests and suggest that it was inappropriate to turn a chalet into a night club. This was my fifth VIP holiday. Previously I have always found fellow chalet guests respectful of others, so enhancing each other's holidays. An unfortunate end to an otherwise excellent holiday.

  • Best ski trip I've been on!

Beautiful chalet, but the staff of VIP ski made it the amazing trip it was. Nothing seemed to be too much bother. They even made us bloody mary's for breakfast in the morning! Kate and Matt were brilliant hosts, very friendly and helpful. Jermaine's cooking lived up to the expectations created by previous reviews, absolutely fantastic cooking. They went out of their way to make it the best week for us, making not one, but two birthday cakes! And the cakes looked like works of art... Thanks for a great week guys!

  • A very enjoyable skiing holiday - staff could do with a little more customer care training to make it excellent

Loved the room. Surprised by location being up hill out of town and reliance on hotel shuttle service . As I was in corporate travel my standards are very high and I do have a few niggles. I didn't like eating so late ( 8.30 pm - which turned into being served around 9pm) or having a pre determined dining time -( I missed the welcome drinks info and the fact you could change the time and the hotel manager was quite surly when I said I'd prefer to eat earlier - felt like a bad schoolgirl rather than a paying VIP customer.) I asked one of the girls to book a table for 10 at hospiz alm on the wednesday. She asked for the name for it to be booked in and we agreed a time of 2.30 but when we all turned up there wasn't a booking in my or VIPs name. I never saw her to ask why. The hosting was very good although there was a mess up getting over to Lech on the Friday - 12 is quite a large number so quite a lot of waiting around. There were no taxis pre arranged and none available. I would train the guides not to take the best place at the table at every lunch before most guests have taken off their skis! splus if VIP have reserved a table and strangers are sitting on it the guide should sort it out rather than the clients unable to sit together!! A couple of times we had to wait too long for someone to pick us up in the van - other companies I've skied with pick ypu up straightway wherever you are. The hotel tried hard to cater for gluten free ( even though I hadn't actually asked for it in the end) but three days running there was no gluten free bread at breakfast. ( FYI you can freeze this so never necessary to run out) otherwise the food was good. Having said all that the travel destination transfer time and transfer in general was very slick and excellent. Our room was above the kitchen and I was annoyed to be woken up at 6.4am by someone tipping all the empty bottles into some sort of bin for 10 minutes - really???? As I say these are all niggles but ironing these out is what will separate VIP from other companies. What you are offering is in the name ( and the price) and in my view this should be reflected in the service in all departments and by all staff at all times. By the way the girls who cleaned the room get 10/10!

  • Excellent holiday in Morzine

The location of this Chalet is perfect for the slopes, shops and bars. Chalet host Rory is an excellent cook and was flexible with timings to suit our needs. Rory was also knowledgable about the area and very helpful with any extra arrangements we needed help with, like storing our luggage, booking lunches and other extras to make the most out of our holiday. Thanks for a great week.

There is a lot to say. We've usually favoured ski in - ski out arrangements so Zermatt felt like quite hard work. But we had fantastic weather all week and the long haul to the slopes was worth it everyday. As late arrivals in the world of skiing (learning to ski on the brink of our sixties, through the last four years or so) we found some of it quite challenging - though in a way that made us wanting to go back for more. It was great to have a ski host (Becca) and she took us further (and sometimes faster) than we would have gone alone. The entitlement to her time needs sorting out - we had two days of a possible three. The other VIP chalet had, or so it seemed, claimed one day for themselves exclusively - which caused some resentment. We always enjoy meeting new people; perhaps others don't. Our chalet was comfortable and Tom cooked us lots of very good meals. Our particular room - well - too small, twin beds (not ideal - better put a small double in there), shower-room across the corridor (had to ask for robes), noisy with the window open at night, no view - so not one we would ever settle for again. But it was a memorable and really worthwhile week. Just one more thing - we're beginning to hate Geneva airport - are there any alternative routes to Zermatt? Could VIP consider booking the ski trains?

We have just enjoyed our third week this year with VIP in Meribel and our second at Chalet Club Pierre, the team at Pierre ( Jermaine, Matt, Becky, Katy and Sophia ) are both professional and friendly, giving us a warm welcome and great food and service. The location is ideal for ski in ski out, with a chairlift in the garden and a run back nearly to the chalet, snow permitting of course! For those unable to ski the return run, then the Meri-shuttle service operated by VIP is just a phone call away, the drivers are extremely accommodating and we rarely waited more than 10 minutes for a lift. You will have read some reports of a certain amount of alcohol fueled boorish behaviour on the final night, whilst this was true, I would add that we have travelled with VIP 18 times and that this is not A typical and I wouldn’t let this one incident put you off travelling with VIP. On our final day, I suffered a back injury from a skiing accident, the concern shown by all the staff and the additional mile they all went to assist us on the return journey was exemplary. The weather was perfect on every visit, how do you manage it VIP? We will be returning next year.

  • Outstanding VIP Experience in Sunny St Anton!

Service provided by all staff was outstanding. The food was excellent and having a menu choice was a really good touch. We were slightly concerned that the hotel was not ski in/ski out but this fear was dispelled as the driver service was constantly on hand and therefore no delays to or from the slopes. Overall a great experience of VIP. We will definitely be booking another VIP ski holiday and will be recommending the company to friends and family.

This was my fourth ski holiday with VIP and probably my least favourable. I have always been a big VIP fan due to the service, the menu and food quality and the in-resort delivery. I felt the menu's were the least exciting of all our holidays. It's not that they were bad, just dont think they lived up to past exerience - certainly far less complex and a little more mainstream - possibly made easier for team to put together. I would just say it was average. We ran out of the non-nut muesli (although we had one person with nut allergy) and advised there wasnt any more but it did appear on the last or 2nd last day. I had to continually (over 36hrs) ask for a lunch reservation to be made for one of the party's birthdays. Whilst I kept being advised it would be OK, I was on holiday and wanted the comfort of knowing we were booked and confirmed rather than having to keep checking. Then when cancelling a reservation for another day and checking a day later if it had been done - it still wasnt, so I just left it at that given it was a cxln. I would probably book myself next time. On our last day we were not offered a cooked breakfast. Although it was absolutely clear there was no intention of offering us this I asked the question (as I knew we were supposed to). Emmy then offered to cook breakfast for us but advised we needed to leave in 15mins (could poss strecth by a further 5 or 10mins). I declined as didnt want the rush - my point is I guess that the cooked bfast should have been offered when we first sat down or if more time needed we could have started bfast 30mins earlier. To rub salt in there was clearly time to make the cake for the next guests during this time and also there was not even enough pastries for 1 each, there was 3 between 6! Priorities... The above may come across quite negative but it is intended as constructive and don't get me wrong Emmy did work hard and did look after us and was friendly and acommodating when we asked for anything. Our rooms were kept clean and we very much appreciated the bottle of champagne provided for birthday celebration on their day off. There could have just been more proactivity and it didnt live up to past experience. Becca was a great ski guide and we had a great day with her showing us around the mountain. She was also very engaging and friendly, giving tips on bets runs etc. I am not necessarily looking for this to be posted but wanted you to have my honest feedback. I still think VIP offer a good quality ski holiday from time of reservation (Becky was extremely helpful) to time of departure and it wasnt that this experience was bad. It would not stop me using you again (I do rate your holidays)...but I did go to Zermatt last season with Supertravel and the in chalet experience was better. One final point - seating on the plane is an issue. It was fine on the way out but on the way back out of 6 people only 2 of us got to sit together. I dont expect we would get all 6 together necessarily but to have 4 out of people all sitting separately is ridiculous. Given you have the whole aircraft there has to be a better way of managing this. We did have a good holiday, so thank you.
