It's just about perfect (ish...)

OK, let’s be honest, there are plenty of smarter, glitzier, posher hotels out there, but for us this little project has been a seven-year labour of love on behalf of our loyal community of skiers. We consolidated everything that we had learnt over a couple of decades into a thirty-bedroom hotel for everyone: rooms for couples, rooms with bunks for families or interconnecting rooms for mum, dad and kids, plus private suites for groups of every shape and size. We didn't forget the toys; a proper sized pool, a spa with plenty of steam, piste-side kids’ playroom, ski shop, gym, cinema and small conference room. 1950m altitude, on the piste, next to the ski lifts and a short walk across the slope to the centre of the village. There must be better new hotels somewhere in the world, but for our little community of skiers, it’s just about perfect.

The good news doesn't stop there

We also see three of our newly completed Avoriaz chalets; Chalet Sakami, Kipnuk and Ipaka, nominated in the 'France's Best Ski Chalet' category. I guess we are also not entirely surprised to see three of our ski resorts nominated in ‘France's Best Ski Resort’ too. We'll be watching closely to see the results on this one.

Who we're looking for

The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for high end finishing and property presentation.

We’re only a small team so it’s a hands-on role (quite literally) and you will be flexible and self-motivated to manage tasks independently.

A positive and gregarious attitude, as well as a strong work ethic is key.

The role in brief

The Maintenance Assistants role is to ensure all our chalets and hotels are in tip-top condition and everything is working as expected. A varied and challenging role responsible for fixing any issues relating to carpentry, plumbing, basic electrics, painting and decorating and repairing household appliances.

No doubt a hugely rewarding role for the right person, this is initially a temporary role but with the possibility to extend through the winter season and/or become a full time, permanent position.

Who we're looking for

The successful applicant will be confident, self-assured, motivated, empathetic and obsessed with detail.

We’re a really friendly bunch but a small team so it’s a hands-on role varying from logistical planning & supplier liaison to contracting staff accommodation.

We will be back to you in minutes if you can demonstrate a strong background within Operations and if you have experience within the ski travel industry.

You must also be fluent in the French language, both spoken and written.

The role in brief

Source, plan & manage scheduled coach transfers and taxis so ensure a seamless journey for our guests to and from the airport to resort. Deal effortlessly with the sometimes-complicated paperwork and reporting (mistakes not allowed) and provide support to the wider team throughout the operational season.
