If you are planning a family ski holiday and are exploring childcare options then you have certainly landed in the right place. As keen skiers with little ones ourselves, we fully understand that happy children make for happy parents and that quality childcare is an essential ingredient to every family holiday. We know our nannies

We have gone to great lengths to ensure that you will feel absolutely confident in our nannies’ ability to care for your children. We have personally interviewed every candidate and probed references to our complete satisfaction. We select a very few from the hundreds that apply every year. We only take on nannies with NNEB or equivalent qualifications, or experienced teachers who pass our own rigorous screening and DBS checks.

It's so much more than just being qualified

Our nannies are chosen for their experience, maturity, confidence and enthusiasm. The average age of our nannies last season was 24. During their training course at the start of the season, as well as updating Health and Safety qualifications, paediatric first aid, fire safety and food hygiene, the nannies have sessions in practical cooking, basic French, indoor and outdoor play and even learn how to sledge safely (… really!) Our childcare facilities operate to outstanding standards, policies and procedures.

Flexibility

We offer three sorts of childcare. Private Nannies in any chalet you choose across all of our resorts, Bear Cubs in Bear Lodge, Arc 1950 and Altitude Lodge, Les Gets and Polar Bears for slightly older children in Arc 1950. We also offer babysitting in all of our chalets should there be a day off and an opportunity for you to eat elsewhere of an evening.

Ratios:

One private nanny is permitted to look after:

TWO children where the youngest is under 2 years
THREE children aged 2 and over, or
FOUR children aged 5 and over

If you have children of mixed age groups, please call our sales team on 0203 892 4060 for advice on how many nannies you will require. Please note that in some instances you may be advised to book 2 nannies, even if the above ratios are being adhered to i.e when 3 children are 2 years old, we would still recommend 2 nannies.

Prices - any 7 hours between 8am & 8pm

Prices quoted are for 5½ days with a half-day off mid-week. On the nanny half-day, you can choose for your nanny to work 8:30am to 12:30pm or 1pm to 5pm.
Half days or reduced hours are available on selected weeks, please call us for prices.

Babies under 4 months old

We want all the family to experience the delights of snow, so will endeavour to provide childcare service for little ones as young as 12 weeks old. Please do call our sales team on 0203 892 4060 to discuss your requirements.

Babysitting

We are more than happy to organise babysitting by qualified nannies on the chalet host's night off. This will be charged locally at: €20 per hour (€25 New Year’s Eve) before midnight and €25 (€30 New Year’s Eve) after midnight. You can email our Sales Team to book this service prior to your holiday or arrange in resort subject to availability.

Bear Cubs in Les Arcs and Les Gets

Our hotel and suite complex in Arc 1950 boasts Bear Cubs, a well-equipped wonderful light and airy space, full of sun and right next to the piste and outdoor play area. You can wave to your little ones throughout the day from the piste and without even having to pop your bindings. In Altitude Lodge, Les Gets, Bear Cubs is a few steps from the boot room and piste. Both dedicated rooms are stuffed full of toys and entertainment for every age and large enough for a quiet sleep in one corner whilst others splash paint in the other.
