A summer chalet holiday...

...is an adventure like no other. Whether you choose to pack your days full of activities in the great outdoors or devote the time to rest and relaxation, the Alps are a wonderful backdrop for a family holiday. We’re offering free multi-passes to guests staying in our chalets in Morzine and Les Gets, giving you access to lifts, public transport and over 50 activites. Read on for an A – Z of what’s on offer with a Portes du Soleil multipass…

A: is for the Alps.

Morzine is located in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France, famed for beautiful rolling meadows and majestic mountain vistas.

B: is for bikes.

Bikes are to summer what skis are to winter; hands down the best way to explore. Whether you choose road bikes or mountain bikes, the Portes du Soleil is your oyster with two wheels.

C: is for chalets.

From a secluded 2-bedroom apartment for 4 to an opulent 5-bedroom manor house, a chalet is the ultimate base for your summer holiday.

D: is for downhill.

What goes up must come down! Take a lift to the to nearest peak and enjoy the gentle walk or cycle back home.

E: is for easy.

Your multi-pass will be waiting for you on arrival at your chalet, meaning that you can head out and start enjoying summer activities from the word go.

F: is for family.

With so many activities available there’s sure to be something to suit the whole family. The hardest part is deciding what you’re going to try first!

G: is for golf.

Try your hand at mini golf in Avoriaz, Chatel or Morgins. For the more experienced there’s a full 18-hole course in Les Gets.

H: is for help from an e-bike.

Sometimes the hills are a little steep, particularly for little legs. Hire an e-bike and you’ll be powering up the hairpin bends in record time.

I: is for ice-skating.

It’s always winter in the indoor ice rink in Morzine. Entry is free and skates are available to hire at a small charge.

J: is for Joux-Plane.

The notorious climb which has hosted the final stage of the Tour de France on several occasions, this is one for serious cyclists only.

K: is for kids.

Little guests will love the wide variety of activities on offer. Who knows, perhaps they’ll discover a new favourite hobby?

L: is for Les Gets.

We have one chalet-hotel in this quiet village for guests who prefer the serenity of being outside the main hub of Morzine.

M: is for Marmot.

Everyone’s favourite alpine critter, marmot spotting is a sure-fire way to keep kids entertained on even the longest of alpine walks.

N: is for no stress.

Morzine operates at a slower pace during the summer. If you’re looking to relax then walking, particularly in natural surroundings, is proven to lower blood pressure and contribute to heart health.

O: is for is for obstacles.

Taking place in the beginning of July, the Spartan race attracts athletes from around the world to compete over natural obstacles. Distances range from 5km to a monstrous 50km in the “ultra” category.

P: is for paragliding.

The most thrilling way to see the Alps! Your multi-pass offers discounts on paragliding in Les Crosets, Montriond, Morzine and Les Gets.

Q: is for quality time.

A summer holiday is all about spending time with loved ones. Our chalets, ranging from 2 – 9 bedrooms, can all be hired for sole-occupancy to ensure that nothing interrupts your precious family time.

R: is for riding.

Saddle up in the Parc des Dereches and head out to enjoy the countryside on horseback. They also offer lessons for anyone seeking to improve their equestrian skills.

S: is for swimming.

Access to 5 swimming pools – both indoor and outdoor - is included in your multi-pass.

T: is for train.

For those looking to enjoy Morzine at a slower pace take the tourist train between the sports centre and the tourist office.

U: is for upgrade.

Book optional breakfast, dinner or half-board catering upgrades and let us take care of the cooking.

V: is for views.

There’s nothing more rewarding than taking in the view after a long hike. Pick up a map and head out to enjoy panoramic vistas of the Alps from multiple designated viewing spots around the resort.

W: is for watersports.

Lac Montriond is a renowned destination for watersports. Take the free bus to enjoy stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, canyoning, or simply float and watch the world go by.

X: is for x-ing the border.

Morzine’s proximity to Switzerland means that you can set off in the morning and reach a new country in time for lunch.

Y: is for yoga.

Keolan Yoga offer a 10% discount to multi-pass holders. Contact the tourist office for more details, including how to book.

Z: is for Zore chairlift.

Reach an altitude of 1757m, even higher than the Super Morzine cable car!
