A happy time in ski school, whether you are 6 or 60, will make for a happy holiday. We can’t guarantee that you won’t fall over but we can do everything within our power to find the right person to pick you up.

In Val d’Isère, La Plagne and Alpe d’Huez, a member of our staff is at the ski school meeting point each morning to ensure your satisfaction.
Parents
We know that a parent cannot relax until they are sure that their children are enjoying their skiing and being looked after well. There is nothing more pleasing than the excited glow of your kids bubbling with chatter and fresh from the piste. All the instructors selected for our ski schools have been hand-picked for their fluency in English, particular affinity and experience with children and friendly, encouraging manner.

Our ski school classes have been specifically designed with the ages and ski experience of your children in mind. Our classes are;
POLAR CUBS LEVEL 1
Our Polar Cub Level 1 classes have been designed for our youngest guests aged 3 and 4 year's old. They are for kids learning to ski for the first time. Classes are fun and entertaining as children learn to move around comfortably on skis. Polar Cub classes include ski, boot and helmet hire. A lifelong love of the mountains starts here.
For families who have booked a VIP SKI private nanny, they will stay with your little one throughout the lesson. Having the friendly face of their nanny on hand has proved invaluable to help motivate, pick them up when they fall over, provide a drink or just wipe a runny nose.
POLAR CUBS LEVEL 2
Our Polar Cubs Level 2 classes have also been designed for our youngest guests but in this case for those with a few days experience under their skis. By the end of the week, they will be able to make short-linked snowplough turns on green and easy blues. Like our Polar Cubs Level 1 classes, these classes are for 3 and 4 year olds. The price also includes ski, boot and helmet hire.
ESKIMOS LEVEL 1
Eskimos Level 1 is designed for absolute beginners. Lessons will start on flat nursery slopes and progress onto button-lifts. By the end of the week the class will confidently have moved onto chairlifts having learnt to move around naturally on skis and having mastered the snowplough turn.
ESKIMOS LEVEL 3
New for this season, this class is to help those who have progressed through Polar Cubs and Eskimos Levels 1 and 2 during the last few seasons, have started to parallel ski and are ready to move onto more challenging skiing. A focus on technique should make very turn parallel and the class will evolve gently from blue run to red.
Private lessons & ski schools in other resorts
Not everyone wants to go into a group lesson and besides, you may well have requirements that our own ski school cannot meet, particularly if you are a more experienced adult. In these cases we work very closely with external and recommended ski schools.

TDC - We also work very closely with TDC in Val d'Isere & Meribel. TDC specialise in clinics containing no more than 6 skiers. The coaching is very personalised and places a lot of importance on understanding. By educating people as to why they need to make certain movements or use particular techniques, progress and learning can continue during the holiday without the need for constant attention from an instructor. The approach is so popular that people come back year after year to continue their development and reach performance levels they once only dreamt of .
With 11 permanent and fully qualified native English speaking coaches in Val d’Isere, including a number of national instructor trainers, TDC are well known as the place for accomplished skiers to hone their skills. TDC is highly respected in Val d’Isere and throughout the Alps and has a reputation for seriously improving performance.

Adult discovery with Oxygene
These classes have been specifically designed for adult beginners, or those who have never skied on real snow before. The aim will be to quietly build confidence as groups learn to stop and control their speed.
