Clearly we think we're great, why come to work otherwise. But what do our customers say? We know that web sites are littered with anonymous out of date testimonials that it’s difficult to trust, but we're displaying comments written by our current and recent guests live, here on our web site. We're laying it bare, warts and all, and with the name of the writer attached. It’s not easy to look at yourself objectively, so don’t listen to us, listen to our guests.

  • Great week

Overall very happy with our stay in this larger VIP ski option. Worked well for us a travelling couple. Staff were generally very friendly, especially Lucy and Jess. Given scale of operation food quality was good except for breakfast with occasional slow service and several items not available. Great location and enjoyed the village too

  • Chalet Beluga, Avoriaz with the Lovely Hosts Charlie and Kate

From arriving at Geneva to the transfer to chalet the VIP team provided information and help effortlessly. We even got chocolate in the transfer and that is a first for me. We were greeted by the lovely Kate and Charlie, who had laid out afternoon tea for our arrival. During our stay Kate and Charlie and the other VIP staff could not do enough for us to ensure our holiday went smoothly. The rooms were spotless. Delicious Breakfast served in the morning included cooked breakfast to order with perfect poached eggs. Then Kate and Charlie were busily clearing up and making cakes for the afternoon tea and cleaning. Afternoon tea was laid out for our return from the slopes and a delicious three course meal ( canapés and champagne on the first and last evening) served every evening except Wednesdays when the staff have a well deserved rest. It gives you an opportunity to eat out and explore the local restaurants. But book early especially if you are in a big group. I would recommend ‘Le Caban’ restaurant. We discovered a public lift that helped you get up to the Main Street, from just down from the chalet to save those tired legs of an evening. So after our first catered Chalet holiday with V.I.P, I would definitely recommend them. You won’t be disappointed.

As always the VIP team were great, and helpful right from the start. We travelled with 4 kids and the chalet team were really flexible around fussy eating! Great holiday.

Selina was a wonderful host at Aspen House, her attention to detail and dedication to the visitor experience was excellent, and we were very well supported by the resort and concierge team also.

  • The perfect chalet experience

    Amy Marshall 18 Mar 2024

This was our first time having a catered chalet experience and it didn’t disappoint. The whole experience was spot on. We had a friendly and warm welcome from the team on arrival. Abby and Hannah were absolutely fantastic at attending to our needs for the entire week, serving lots of delicious meals and snacks. And providing answers to any questions about the resort and local area. They were super friendly, fun, knowledgeable and helpful. The concierge service and pick up/drop off options locally was extremely helpful if ever we found ourselves in town rather than making our way back to the chalet after skiing. Having the hot tub, sauna, steam room and pool available to us every day was awesome. We’ve previously stayed at other accommodation where these would’ve needed to have been booked well in advance. We’d highly recommend using VIP ski again for anyone looking for a stress free skiing holiday. We’ll definitely be booking again!

Chalet hosts were very accommodating, they were very thoughtful and eager to adjust the meals if necessary. The chalet accommodation was a little on the small side, but tidy and I would like to say well maintained but the electrics did leave a lot to be desired. We only found two of the approx. 8 sockets worked. We did mention this, but nothing happened. Not a big thing as we did not spend a lot of time in the room. Everything else was good the concierge service was very good and very friendly collecting us from various places in the resort and returning us to the Chalet. We will be back next year hopefully. All in a very pleasant experience

  • Location…location…and service!

There is ski in - ski out and then there is Bear Lodge! With the Marmottes and Bois de l’Ours lifts literally on its doorstep, Bear Lodge is superbly located. When you add the facilities it has (comfortable and well laid out apartments, wellness, parking etc.), it is just about the perfect ski holiday solution. But when you add the last, but most important, ingredient of super service, it is really unbeatable: all the staff we encountered were polite, friendly and helpful. But Lottie, our chalet host, was brilliant - the best! She cooked superbly, she looked after us wonderfully, she was always smiling and sociable, she even laughed at our middle-aged banter. 10/10!

  • Great experience with some improvements needed

    Elena Schirato 18 Mar 2024

Overall, great experience. The chalet is lovely, the views are stunning and we had a great group and ski week. Positives: 1. Facilities (rooms, hot tubs, sauna / pool) were lovely and comfortable 2. The VIP car service is amazing for inexperienced skiers which cannot take the hard runs down at the end of the day - and it makes a big difference for the non skiers 3. Leah and Amelia have been helpful and engaged with the guests, which was appreciated Not-so-positives: 1. The chalet hosts were not running on time, especially around dinner. The hosts would turn up late to the house, canapes were always late and dinner was late and slow. This meant we were still eating often past 9:30PM which was a real struggle for some people, and generally meant we had less time to enjoy the post dinner all together. While it is understandable and understood the staff takes the day to ski, it seemed a tad unprofessional to have guests be waiting around so consistently 2. The gluten free additions (skier tea, alternative beverages) were inadequate given the request for extra money. Both the quality and the availability of things left something to be desired 3. The vegetarian meals were not nutritionally balanced - there was never a source of plant-based protein in the meals except for the last night (lentils), which is not great for people who have been exercising all day. With the vegetarian and flexetarian diets becoming more and more common, a valid alternative to meat would be greatly appreciated 4. Noise was a real issue during our stay for anyone facing the piste side of the chalet. Some of us took matters into their own hands for multiple nights in a row. VIP should work out a viable solution with neighbouring chalets to ensure everyone's enjoyment

  • Great skiing, comfortable chalet, unreliable staff

    James Ausden 18 Mar 2024

It was a great week. We got lucky with the weather and the amenities were good for our group. The only real let down was the staff who were often (with a couple of cheerful exceptions) disinterested, slow & late. Pros - Chalet was nice (2 hot-tubs and the sauna/pool were great) - Most starters & main courses were very tasty (thai curry the exception which was somehow both dry and watery) - Chalet's piste-side location & mountain views are wonderful Cons - Staff arrived late in the afternoons (often well after 5pm) & consequently dinner almost always started later than the agreed time and finished far too late for a ski day (sometimes after 9:30pm which meant people - especially parents - struggling to stay awake to the end of dinner) - Staff were generally slow to react (e.g. we needed to constantly ask for more water, coffee etc. rather than it being provided proactively). I wasn't expecting Michelin-level service but this is really service 101 - Having benches instead of chairs for meals is uncomfortable after a day skiing - Some desserts (e.g. sticky toffee pudding) were pretty underwhelming - Gluten free skiers tea was dry and bland every day (given the gf option was a paid extra this was very disappointing; times have changed and today there are many examples of good gf cakes so the recipes/cooking need to improve here) - I was given a gf beer on the first night and promised that the staff would get some more on a supermarket run the next day. The following evening I was told none was available. It's entirely possible this is true (in which case in future plan ahead) or it was forgotten (not great) or it was too expensive (then don't offer in the first place) - Noise from the Club Med across the street was a real issue for our group (at 1am, 2am, 5am etc.) and even after "VIP management spoke to Club Med" it still took one of our group going over multiple times to complain and even physically turning off the music to get some sleep

  • Preston our Chalet Host was a Star

    Kenneth Anderson 18 Mar 2024

Most VIPSki staff were brilliant, coach transfer from Geneva was a bit bereft on the communication front but everyone else was brilliant, Rosie, Martha and Alaw + Jed require special mention but Preston was the star of the show….probably the best chalet host we’ve had in over 60 chalet ski trips over 45 years. One grumpy manager guy resented us being in the dining room to get ice for my Wife’s ruptured ACL but that apart you have a great facility and wonderful staff.
