TRAVEL UPDATE. ALL EUROPEAN SKI RESORTS CLOSED
Sat March 14, 2020
Travel Update. All European ski resorts closed for the remainder of the season due to Coronavirus
We will be contacting everyone booked to travel with us to the Alps during the remainder of this season in order to discuss the current situation and the options available in the next two weeks, please wait to hear from us and do not try to telephone our office, to do so will merely slow down the process for everyone as we do our very best to deal with the huge administrative burden that is threatening to topple our in-tray and frazzle our brains! Your understanding would be hugely appreciated during these extremely tricky times.
Booked but not yet travelled?
We are able to offer two alternatives if you have booked for this 19/20 season but have not yet travelled;
1. You can defer your holiday to the same chalet and date for next 20/21 season and we will of course honour the same price. You can make this change straightaway. By all means email firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to make this simple change, rest assured we have already provisionally re-booked everyone on this basis (unless we are no longer operating that particular chalet), so you have an effective ‘ready-made’ option, and we will then get back to you as soon as we have the time to confirm.
2. If the same chalet is not available next season for any reason or you would like the liberty of booking a different chalet on a different date, or because of a change in party numbers or any other reason then we will issue you with a ‘virtual voucher’ for the holiday price that you paid together with a £50 goodwill gesture for every person that was booked to travel this winter. You can redeem this voucher against any 2020/21 ski holiday and do so at any time, but obviously the earlier the better as we expect demand to be huge for next year (lots of frustrated skiers!) and we don’t want you to be compromised by lack of availability. If, by any chance, the holiday that you choose is less expensive than your ‘virtual voucher’ then we will issue you with a ‘lifetime virtual voucher’ for the difference which you can then use against any holiday at any time in the future, no caveats.
3. If you do not want to proceed with either of the options above then please speak to your travel insurance company about recovering your holiday costs.
If you have booked through an Agent then you will be required to speak to them directly.
So sorry that you have missed your ski fix this season, thank you for your continued support, it means everything to us, and we look forward to seeing you all on the slopes again next year.
