Jones family holiday - Day Two

Tue February 06, 2018

Today we’re joining the Jones's as they once again take to the slopes in Courchevel 1850. Under the helpful guidance of Jerome from Oxygene Ski School, they certainly seem to be doing well!

Mum and Dad were able to take some time to themselves while our nannies took the kids on an adventure to the Altiport for snow games, hot chocolate, and a lovely sing-a-long.

In Dads words…''so far so good!''

Jones family holiday - Day One

Wed January 31, 2018

We recently hosted the Jones family in chalet Darkoum Lama in Courchevel 1850. This was the first time the family had been on a VIP SKI holiday and the first time the children had hit the slopes. Whilst in Courchevel they filmed a video diary of their holiday.

Check out the first in a 5-part series following their VIP SKI holiday experience. ‘Day one’ shows the kids first lesson with Oxygene Ski School and they give us their review of chalet Darkoum Lama and the chalet hosts.

We think it’s safe to say, they “abso-dootely loved it”

Thinking about learning to ski or snowboard?

Mon January 15, 2018

Is one of your New Year's resolutions to learn to ski or snowboard? Have you been promising yourself that you're going to take up one of them but not got round to it yet. I suppose the big question is, which is easier to learn?

It’s a question that divides experts, and is of particular relevance to winter sport newcomers and parents wanting their children to join them on the slopes every year. Indeed, for parents, among the most difficult decisions to make when going on a family ski holiday for the first time is whether the kids should actually be learning to ski or whether they should snowboard if that’s what they really want to do. When you’re an adult, you can make up your own mind, but parents need to decide what is in the best interests of their children.

So with this article we’re going to discuss what is easier to learn skiing or snowboarding, as well as addressing the issue of whether these sports are inherently dangerous, and also providing some handy advice for parents wanting to make the right decision for their kids.

Winter has officially arrived

Thu November 16, 2017

“Snow is falling…all around me” ok maybe it’s a bit too early for Christmas songs but it’s certainly fitting because in case you didn’t hear, winter has officially arrived across the alps! A huge snow storm made its way across the French and Austrian alps this week and has turned our resorts into winter wonderlands.
