New last year but with an experienced team. Progression Ski and Snowboard offer a full service of private lessons, clinics and group lessons as well as children’s (from age 5) and teen lessons during the holidays. Fully qualified and mainly British they provide an excellent and friendly service. Maximum of 8 in group lessons and 6 in their clinics. They put a big emphasis on fun and safety in their children’s group lessons. One of the few ski schools in Val d’Isere to provide telemark skiing instruction.

The development centre was started five seasons ago, with the aim of providing quality coaching in Val d'Isere. Their mission was to provide quality-coaching clinics that made a difference to peoples skiing. They offer coaching clinics (3-6 people) and private tuition for adults. Small groups ensure the highest standard of personalised coaching. 7 Native English speaking instructors.

Winners of the ‘snow awards’ for best ski school in 2004 and 2005, New Generation expanded their operation in Val d’Isere for 2006/7 and now offer a complete range of lessons. All instructors are English speaking and highly qualified. Offer group lessons, clinics and private lessons along with snowboarding and children’s lessons (from age 4) during school holidays.

Now entering their eleventh season in Val D’Isere, Oxygene are well established. Winners of ‘Which’ golden ski award for best children’s ski school of the year for 2004 and 2005. Adult group and private lessons. Children’s lessons from aged 4, full and half days available (lunch not supervised on full days). Maximum 6 children per group throughout season.

Mountain Masters are one of Europe's leading ski schools, comprising the most innovative and forward thinking instructors who are all at the top of their respective fields. Carefully selected (many of them are British) they have the ability to deliver in a friendly and fun way. Offer private tuition for adults as well as group lessons for children (from 8-14) during holiday periods.

Founded in 1976, Top ski was one of the first independent ski schools in France. Specialising in off piste tuition, both group and private and catering for everyone from beginners to experts. Also arrange Heli skiing and ski tours including the Tarentaise tour. Massive choice of courses and lessons.

Evolution 2 (www.evolution2.com)
Long established in Val d'Isere with an excellent reputation. Offer adult and child group lessons (never more than 8 in children’s classes and from age 4) as well as private tuition. One of the few ski schools in Val d’Isere to offer full day instruction for children.

British Alpine Ski School (www.britishskischool.com)
Offer both adults and children’s lessons (from age 4 upwards). Also offer private lessons and introductions to off piste skiing and snowboarding.
