Our property is situated at 300 vertical metres above Les Gets in Les Chauvannes, the major lift and piste crossroads and start of all the cross country tracks. From here you can take the bubble lift down to the resort until late in the day, or select from a number of gentle pistes down to the lower nursery slopes. The lifts out side the door lead you to the challenging Point de Nyon, the untracked Chamoissiere off piste or the gentle intermediate Les Gets bowl.

Just over the ridge is Morzine from where the variety of the Portes du Soleil is outstanding; the largest linked ski area in the world, a claim made by many certainly, but only here will you find 2 countries, 14 resorts, 209 lifts, 288 marked slopes, and over 650 Km of piste. Mountain restaurants are a real highlight; value for money traditional log cabins with open fires, local speciality dishes and "vin chaud" on tap.

Chalets in Les Gets

In Les Gets we provide our ski hire from Vermont Sport, we have been working with them since our arrival in resort 3 years ago. The shop is 100m from the chalet, about 2 minutes away. Once you are settled and have sampled the afternoon tea that awaits you on arrival a member of the VIP SKI team will take you to the shop. At the end of the week your equipment will be collected from the boot room in Altitude Lodge, so no need to carry it back to the shop.

We collect details such as ski ability, height, weight and shoe size beforehand, to ensure the team at Vermont Sport know exactly what you’re looking for and therefore the whole fitting process is as quick and seamless as possible.

We are confident you’ll get the very best of service from the Vermont team. We have also negotiated that they will stay open later on your day of arrival, or open earlier the next morning to ensure your ski fitting is as hassle free as possible, should any delays occur due to bad weather.

Ski rental equipment descriptions and categories vary from resort to resort, and even from shop to shop. To make this easier we describe ski equipment as bronze, gold, silver or platinum. We would advise you book the following according to your experience and ski ability;

Bronze – for complete beginners
Silver – for intermediate level
Gold – for intermediate/advanced level
Platinum – for advanced/expert level
